The NFL announced Tuesday that Lady Gaga will be singing the national anthem during the pregame festivities.
The "Poker Face" singer's performance will be broadcast live on CBS before the kickoff of the game between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers.

You & I are both retired USN and should be pulling for the same side. Perhaps Italian heritage, and thus your backing of Bennett? And I haven’t come out in support of anybody — I criticize Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Carson, and the rest of the ‘Pub mob. All are making a big mess out the primaries/caucuses by sniping at each other, instead of firing at the Communists that call themselves Democrats.
You made a very good point there. Being a combat vet and then a pacifist does not make you right, or even give your political views any special weight.

Yes and yes. I’ve always thought that instead of a halftime show promoting the newest or oldest rock stars, why not have colleges (or high school) bands compete for scholarship money for academic students. Have an American Idol type of show where schools can compete on tv, viewers can vote over a period of weeks leading up the the big game, and then for the SB halftime show have the final two schools compete, then let the viewers decide who wins the scholarship money. That would be good clean fun and the SB bigs can spend the money in a productive way. A school can only win once.
She has a beautiful beautiful voice. She is classically trained she will do a great job.

I would love to do it; it is the only song that I actually can do fairly well, and loud, too. I’d have to have my eyes closed, but I don’t think that is allowed.
She definitely is several fries short of a Happy Meal but her talent is undeniable. I enjoy her music if I don't have to watch her or listen to her talk.

Thinking? The NFL? Not only is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta singing the national anthem, but they are doubling down on the slut-fest by including Beyonce for a repeat performance. It appears that she will be “performing” some type of racist song.
I, for one, will not be watching the half-time performance and have emailed the NFL to say so and why.
