Trump Vows "Forward Motion" On Gay "Equality"
Conservative Review ^ | February 05, 2016 | CR Wire

New York billionaire Donald Trump promises "forward motion" on so called gay rights if elected president.

While speaking with Bay Windows publisher Sue O'Connell Friday, Trump spoke about his wishes to unite the country on gay and lesbian issues.

According to a report by Bay Windows:

Trump, in the recent past has supported liberal positions, and though often criticizing and singling out specific groups he has not attacked the gay community. Now he shows his true leftist view points in an interview just days before the New Hampshire primary where he leads in the polls.

Like the abortion rights people, the gays rights people are not just interested in being free of compulsion but in compelling others to submit/be silent.

Also true. Maybe salesman wasn’t the best word. Shyster, conman, grifter....all much better.

Greta is wrong here about Cruz.

By winning the evangelical vote in Iowa, Cruz has been raised to sainthood. As such going forward he is officially incapable of wrong doing.

Didn’t Greta understand this?

Trump will treat America like he has treated women. But hey, he always did find some who would work his strip clubs.

Look at Trump, forging ahead with another liberal issue. First health care for everyone, now gay issues. Wow. Conservative he is NOT.

Wow, the main push in the LGBT movement at the moment is to take away religious freedom rights by forcing everyone to participate in their ceremonies and to celebrate their lifestyle. So, if Trump says that he will push LGBT rights forward than by definition he is pushing the religious freedom rights of Christians off a cliff into utter oblivion.

Trump is so malleable that gumby couldn’t bend as much as he does. Still, as he said, he could shoot someone on the streets of New York and his supporters would not care.

Well, according to those opposed to Cruz his meeting with gay donors mattered. But those same people will tell us that Trump’s position - pro-gay - does not matter.

Didn’t Trump just say a week ago that he’d consider overturning gay marriage? Now he’s for gay equality legislation?

Wow.... you’re going to drop Trump just going by headlines?

Here’s a link to the actual interview if you’d like to hear Trump’s actual words/take.

When asked "can we look for more forward motion on equality for gays and lesbians?", he replies "Well, YOU can". Notice, he makes no promise of any action on HIS part.

I suppose it depends on what the meaning of "is" is.

All of you morons are falling for media manipulation hook line and sinker. No wonder the collective intelligence of this site is diminishing by the week.

What does he mean "move foward"? Does he mean using the government to FORCE EVERYONE to not just tolerate homosexuality- but to accept and celebrate it?

(Forcing Christian business' to participate in gay weddings against their beliefs, is not enough? And DT had no problem with the Christian KY clerk being JAILED for not wanting to sign her name to gay marriage licenses.)

Between this and Kelo- Trump does not seem to have much knowledge of our Constitution and the concept of individual rights-And why they matter.

Trump is not my first choice for POTUS.

I will vote for him if he's the nominee. But I have serious concerns about things like this.

The Donald is simply saying whatever needs to be said today, trying not to commit himself too hard to any particular position. My cat has a longer attention span than he does.
And people actually believe he’s going to build a wall? If he were to be elected he’d get some “top people” to “look into it” and that would be the last you’d ever hear about it...

How many thousands of posts have been by Trump supporters attacking Cruz for not naming ending gay marriage in his top three agenda items? (Damned idiot Trump didn’t recognize that defending Christian rights was a related topic.)

What was that talk Trump had about giving power to Christians? He’ll mock them if anyone sounds like a preacher, he’ll side with the gays and Planned Parenthood, he’ll negotiate with Pelosi. Did he means he’s do anything specifically for Christians, or was he just creepily trying to sound like the devil during Christ’s fast?

>> Does the fact that Cruz met with a gay donor make him less conservative? Or is this another double standard? <<

So if one gay donor likes Cruz’ financial plan that somehow is the same thing as supporting gay marriage?

I will vote for him if he's the nominee.

If Bernie is the D, I might.

Or, I might just "waste" my vote on a third party regardless of who's the D. I think I'm done voting for RINOs. If we're content to leave the frog in the pot and the pot on the fire, I may be to the point where I don't care how hot the fire is. Hotter may be better.

If Trump doesn’t win, it won’t be an issue because with the infiltration of Islam throughout the country and government sharia law will eventually win out. Then you won’t have to worry about the homosexuals.

Wow you seem able to jump pretty far with your assumptions. I never said he supported gay rights but you assume whatever you want about a comment from Trump. Amazing
