thegatewaypundit.com ^ | February 7

The establishment media cheered Jeb Bush's performance last night at the ABC GOP debate. The media was particularly pleased with how Jeb went after Donald Trump on eminent domain.

Jeb slammed Trump for using eminent domain in his building projects.

But Jeb forgot to mention his family used eminent domain too - to build a baseball park. Oops.

Trump is a 83rd cousin to the Bushs back over 720 years.

This will cause his numbers to fall...

He’s peaked too soon...

Gravity...

I’m SO sick of Jeb!bie. I wish he’d just go home and count his millions.

Imagine dragging your 90-year-old mother out in the SNOW with her WALKER!!! He should be ashamed of himself instead of feebly trying (and failing) to shame other people.

This story made the rounds when W was a candidate. I do believe it was determined that as a part owner in the Rangers, W had indeed been part of the corporation that evicted a homeowner in order to proceed with the ballpark.

Did they actually build the park or just have an interest in the Rangers?

Interest in the Rangers or build the park, either way the Bushes benefitted from eminent domain. You’d think Jeb would know that. And since the campaign knew he was going to go after Trump over the issue you’d think it would have crossed their minds. I guess his advisors are as dumb as he is and they didn’t know W owned a part of the Rangers.

Maybe Jeb doesn’t know W was a part owner of the team. His mother never told him.

Here is the story of Donald Trump with Eminent Domain in New Jersey. Mr. Trump was attempting to create jobs for profit in New Jersey. Almost everyone had sold to his business, except for one woman.

Mr. Trump offered her 1 million dollars for her city lot and house. She refused and as Mr. Trump said, ‘I walked away’.

Donald Trump tried to make an “old woman” a millionaire, but she declined, and Mr. Trump took no property from anyone.

That is the story and Jeb Bush is a liar.

As this story progresses, developer Carl Ichan, finally did purchase this property for 530,000 dollars. So this stupid woman, in attempting to blackmail Donald Trump for more than a million dollars, finally was stuck in selling her property to Mr. Ichan, - and she couldn’t have cared less about New Jersey and her community, - as she fled the state for California.

Mr. Trump did not merely walk away, he went to his buddies in city government and asked them to take the property for him. Now he failed at that, but he did try.

Rangers stadium is owned by the city, not the team. I agree that public monies should not be used to build a stadium, but the fact that it is a public building brings it closer to the constitutional meaning of eminent domain than Trumps power grab did.

Not sure. Arlington owns Jerry’s World and The Cowboys rent it for around 167,000 per month but the Cowboys retain control of the calendar and events for 30 years.

I lived in Arlington about 20 years and I know the residents “paid” for the Ball Park and Jerry’s World with sales tax increases and bonds I’m sure.

Only thing I found on The Ball Park . . . and the name has changed of who owns the “name” sponsorship twice, was:

Rangers Ballpark, located in Arlington Texas: Owner: Arlington Sports Facilities Development Authority Operator: Rangers Baseball Express Tenant: Texas Rangers (MLB)
