Ted Cruz's Latest Dirty Trick Is Almost Too Much To Be Believed
The Huffington Post ^ | February 7, 2016 | Amanda Terkel

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is out with a deceptive new mailer that masquerades as official government business and promises people there's a "check enclosed" when it's actually asking for money instead.

A New Jersey resident sent The Huffington Post the latest piece of mail he received from Cruz's campaign. The envelope appears to have come from Cruz's Senate office and has his name printed the same way it often is for Senate business. In small type the mailer clarifies that it is for "personal" matters and was not sent at taxpayers' expense. It also promises a check...

If this is accurate, Cruz has a bunch of former junk mail con-men working for him. This is 3rd rate political sleaze. Reeks bad.

This guy is done.

I’m not a fan of Huffington, first of all, but the more I read up on Cruz, the less I think of him.

For instance:
He is in favor of cutting Senior’s Social Security

Trash you.

Trash Huffington Post.

Ted who sends out mailers with “check enclosed” on the face to get folks to open it, not a problem.

Is this a major scandal? No. Is it more evidence of Ted being willing to do off color things for personal gain? Yes.

This does not contribute to a picture of Ted being a fine upstanding man.

Quite the contrary...

This is a guy that has no problem being deceitful.

I think it’s getting to the point one can’t tell Free Repuclic threads from Democrat Underground threads. This is how deranged the Trump vs. Cruz battle has become on here.

There used to be a day when HuffPo, Mother Jones, and The Nation were laughed at here at FR. Nowadays, they are gospel truth if it is proTrump or antiCruz.

Or if it is antiTrump or proCruz. It all depends on the bias of the poster.

Articles from the Democratic Underground site are (rightly) banned from Free Republic. I would add a few more to that list. And no, I don't see that as censorship. It would just be a way to filter out some of the far-left garbage.

A legitimate news story would be reported elsewhere, anyway.

This is a common mass marketing ploy. Disguise the mail as a check, or as being from the VA etc. I see car dealers and mortgage people doing this.
My thought is that if someone’s first business contact with me is to deceive me to make me open the mail, then why would I do business with the skunk?

But though I think it’s cheesy, it isn’t a dirty trick. Voter violation mailer in Iowa, yes. This, no big deal.

No kidding. This place is full of the same caliber of people that supported Obama. I don’t like any of the candidates, but the stupidity here is at an all time high.

LOL the only people who wouldn’t be familiar with this type of fundraising are people who have never given to a foundation in their lifetime.

I am in favor of abolishing Social Security on the grounds that it is an unconstitutional pyramid scheme that is already succumbing to the demographic tsunami of 10,000 babyboomers retiring each day over the next decade while workforce participation is at 62% ...there are numerous methods individuals could pursue for retirement with far better returns. Higher wages and bigger paychecks absent a payroll tax that includes employer contributions.

3rd rate political sleaze. Big stinky.

Rafael Cruz should demand Fiorina's corrupt PAC give back the $500,000 the Cruz PAC funneled to her PAC. Then he can avoid stooping to these 3rd rate gutter politics tactics.

Btw, the government post office already delivers 57,000 tons of junk mail daily. Enough of this bull s**t.

Read HuffPo much?

I do not really care much what the source is. I am here to learn. One thing I learned a long time that advertising is not where I go for factual information.

I recall learning that lesson when I replied to a comic book advertisement for sea horses.

I’ve received fundraising requests like this. I give then, too, when donations will be matched. Especially to the ACLJ.

Ted Cruz and the people he hires are sneaky and dishonest.

http://freedomoutpost.com/2016/01/ted-cruzs-federal-education-choice-kills-the-america-dream/

January 26, 2016
Ted Cruz’s Federal Education “Choice” Kills the American Dream

[snip]By Dangling Title I Money to ALL Parents, Sen. Ted Cruz Accelerates Federal Control Over All Private, Religious, and Homeschools, and Blankets Common Core Equitably to ALL Schools in America With His Proposed Bill, S 306.

On Oct. 26, 2015, The Blaze quoted Sen. Ted Cruz as saying, “School Choice Is Today’s ‘Civil Rights’ Issue.” But before you get excited about this, ask Sen. Ted Cruz what he means when he uses the term “choice.....If I had not read the sponsors of this bill I would think this legislation came right out of President Obama’s Equity Plan called For Each and Every Child: A STRATEGY FOR EDUCATION EQUITY AND EXCELLENCE.

OR some of the smarmy people he hires

Sen. Cruz hires some questionable people...this is the guy who pulled the Carson is quitting scam, and he’s done it before.

Jeff Roe Linked Once Again To Political Lies
http://www.yeoldejournalist.com/23653-2/

[snip]It’s true that Missourians play dirty politics, perhaps none more so than Jeff Roe, the guy behind the House of Cards ad. Known as the “Karl Rove of Missouri,” he got his start in politics in 1994, according to Mother Jones, and helmed successful campaigns for Missouri Republican Congressman Sam Graves. Opponents have described Graves’s campaign staff as “evil”; other phrases used to describe Roes’s campaigns include “intimidating” and “very, very bad.” It’s also worth noting that while Missourians are trying to figure out what to do about Roe, he’s taking his hardball talents to the big leagues. Late last year, Ted Cruz, the Republican senator who no one really likes, announced Roe would be heading up his presidential campaign.

OR some of the slimes (open border Chamber of Commmerce associatess) his pacs finance him with.

And this is how they do it....Special interest groups, pacs like pay off the talking heads of radio. This is nothing new. GW BUSH paid off several to push his policies and it came out of YOUR tax $$...like Armstrong Williams, who now works for Ben Carson.

Headline: Who’s funding this pro-Ted Cruz super PAC?
http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/06/politics/ted-cruz-super-pac/index.html

[snip] Stand for Truth, Inc., an emerging player in the orbit of often clashing constellation of pro-Cruz super PACs, recently pledged to air more than $4 million in television ads to back Cruz in Iowa and South Carolina. Super PACs can accept unlimited contributions but are required to disclose their financial backers.

Ok, the guy running this outfit is Eric Lycan, LAWYER is all wound up with the US Chamber of Commerce. I do find it MOST interesting that many of Cruz’s supporters/funders are open border, free traitors (TPP). Their filing also shows they spent $42,000 to create digital advertising for Ted Cruz, and...
.....wait for it...
..... spent $192,594.00 for “RADIO ADVERTISING”.
It makes a person wonder which radio broadcasters might have picked up some of that Pro-Ted Cruz advertising money?

Ted Cruz had my vote before he even declared. Things like this give me pause. I don’t understand why he says and does some of the things he does. Seems totally unnecessary.
