The Balsams is being converted to condominiums, apparently. Not clear if it is,reopening as a hotel.
I visited the Balsams Hotel in Dixville Notch in 2004. In those days, everyone who wanted to be president made a pilgrimage there. The walls of the Ballot Room, where the voting took place, were covered with pictures of candidates who had visited the hotel.

My mother was as tall as Ivanka and thin. Yet she ate normal meals and even desserts.
I doubt that the picture is photo shopped. If it was, they wouldn't have the dreaded "RED EYE".
