With the republican primary race now heading to South Carolina we take a look at the last verifiable polling (large sample, low MOE) which was taken by NBC and the Wall Street Journal in January (full pdf below).

Remember the golden rule of MSM polling. “When polls are silent, it generally means the outcomes are adverse to their preferred media narrative."

Their slick maneuvering will not go unnoticed however and will add to the perception that Cruz is a cheater.
Sadly it's more than just a perception.

Cruz had a huge rally of 200 in SC today, plus he came in 3rd in NH, so that makes him the automatic frontrunner.

Can anyone remember a candidate drawing these kind of crowds during primary season? Unprecedented.

Happened nearly a century ago in Germany.

Desperate people are easily led. Facts are we are desperate for someone that tells the truth about everyday life.

The smell of pseudo-Conservatives! It is an unpleasant smell indeed.

Why don’t you to slate.com where you belong?”

You are so full of BS you cannot see straight.

Desperate people? So you think a lot of Trump supporters are desperate?

But I assume whoever your candidate does not make you desperate and you must be smarter than a lot of us.

Get a life

Conservative is proving physical security by securing the borders and strongly supporting the second amendment. Conservative is economic security by ensuring we have at least a level playing field in trade and in improving real full-time job creation. Conservative is ensuring that the federal government is more efficient in how it operates and reduces regulations. Conservative is putting experienced business and where warranted political people in positions in the cabinet and other positions to effectively carry out operations. Conservative is not engaging us in foreign military operations that are not in the best interests of the United States. Those are the key issues for me. It is as simple as food, clothing, shelter.

If we have that umbrella then I am willing to fight internally on social issues.

I want a President who knows how to run large operations and is a leader. No one else can measure up and I do NOT want a lawyer or lifetime political in the office.

“Exactly right. The crossovers will vote for the other Democrat.”

This has often been true in the past, because Dems are generally sneaky little Commies. However, there is some good polling evidence that this time it is different. The cross-overs and independents who are voting Trump and going to the trouble of showing up at rallies on work nights, are first-time voters or are otherwise genuinely “all in” for Trump.

I Stand With Ted, but I have some worries that if Ted prevails (and especially if the media - and some on FR - push the “cheating” narrative) many of these voters will stay home. It may not be simply bitterness or the desire to see Bernie/Hillary win, but simply because of a lack of enthusiasm for anyone.

That’s just my opinion.

No I don’t. Not at all. Trump is not a bigot. The Muslims he has been referring to are the refugee Muslims. Legal Muslim or Muslim Americans he has no gripe with.

Only 10k? Sounds like the new is wearing off off trumps dog and pony show. I saw that many at a Bush appearance in Little Rock when he was a candidate.

We should be thanking Bernie Sanders. If he weren’t viable, dems and independents would be crossing over to vote for the worst. That would’ve been Jeb.
