REPORT: Ted Cruz Entered US Illegally in 1974
The Gateway Pundit ^ | 2/12/16 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 02/13/2016 9:12:01 AM PST by Dana1960

Lawrence Sellin, Ph.D. a retired colonel with 29 years of experience in the US Army Reserve, argues that Senator Ted Cruz entered the United States illegally as a child in 1974. His parents failed to file a CRBA form which is required by US law. Ted’s parents did not fill out the required form until 1986.

Go back and read your original post I was responding to. Cruz’s “citizenship” status has never been adjudicated. You claim it has. Back your claim up with proof or concede.

Cruz is the one that helped get his friend, Justice Roberts, appointed.

That can hardly be held against him. The vast bulk of the conservative movement also believed John Roberts would be a good conservative Judge.

It can cost Trump votes to praise Thomas. I’ve lost friends over my support of Thomas. People believe the media hype that Anita Hill was sexually harassed, even though she followed him to the next job. I’ve also had to argued with people that he is a very capable justice and not just a Scalia follower.

It may cost you friends, but it won't cost you any votes, especially not on the Republican side of the spectrum. It will potential gain you votes among the Black community. Many of them saw nothing at all wrong with Clarence Thomas, and they were somewhat incensed that everyone was attempting to mess up his appointment.

If Ted Cruz’s had delayed two more years filing the CRBA his US citizenship would have been denied.

I wonder if Cruz will pull an Obama and forge a CRBA.

“Speaking of that, where is his mother?”

IIRC, she was in attendance after the Iowa primary. Didn’t he go all goofy when he was giving his winner’s speech, holding her hand, etc.?

Also, IIRC, there have been rumors that, even though they say she was born in America (maybe no proof of that), she’d spent a long enough time overseas (England, I think) without coming home that the issue could create a problem.

We’d be in be in a state of chaos for months, in and out of court, having the air waves inundated with disgusting lawyers being interviewed by talking heads. It would be 24/7. A repeat of Gore-Bush in 2000.

This is the Democrats revenge for Bush/Gore 2000, especially since Cruz was part of the legal recount team.

The CRBA is not a required document, it is the underlying documents that make up a CRBA that are required

The form N-600 is an application for U.S. citizenship. The form we are discussing on this thread is proof that you are already a U.S. citizen. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Winston Churchill had an American mother with a US birth certificate. There are possibly thousands of Vietnamese children whose fathers are U.S. citizens. Are they eligible to be U.S. President also?

“It seems the only birth certificate he has shown is his mothers”.

An article I read alluded to the fact that her BC, or lack thereof, might be a problem.

Blackstone’s Commentaries are directly relevant, considering it was foundation of colonial law. Either way, what Trumpists are pawning is the idea that Natural Born is Local Born. The two are distinct. And by Trump’s interpretation (for the moment) Local Born=Natural Born, so the son of a US Citizen would be ineligible, but the child of a Chicom born here under birth tourism would be eligible. That is nonsense, and a clear violation of the intent of both English Common Law and post US constitution statutory law.

See 8 USC 1401 (g). Trump makes a lot of accusations that are halftruth’s at best.

How did he have a US birth certificate if he was born abroad?

Did you mean he had his CRBA or US passport within days (You must have been a VIP to do that)

That's a long time.

Ref: “Any idiot, including me, knew this when pregnant abroad. My son had his USA BC within days of his birth overseas. ....If he were asked to show ID papers any time from birth to 16, he only had Canadian.....”

Not sure of the time frame and where your son was born...But I can talk about the Canadian issue a bit as my parents went through it with me. The USA BC was not available in the early 1960’s and 70’s, and Cruz would have fallen under the same foreign birth documentation requirements that I did. I was born on Harmon AFB in Newfoundland, Canada in the early 1960’s. I was issued a Canadian Birth Certificate from the Canadian government, and a Certificate of Live Foreign Birth when I was @20 months old to document my Natural Born Citizenship, after my Dad was reassigned to March AFB in California.

Cruz was born out in the Western Alberta Territory. Cruz’s parents, working for a civilian oil company the early 1970’s, probably did not have the family and legal support the military offers its members. As there were minimal legal/immigration requirements for them to reenter the US from Canada, the US documentation of his birth was probably not his mom’s biggest priority — especially if she could get him registered to school with only her passport, Texas driver’s license, and his birth certificate. .... Keep in mind that this probably coincided with the time his parents were separated, so his mom was probably focused on other problems...

But anyway, the law is very clear. If you are a Natural Born Citizen, you are a Natural Born Citizen. When one obtains the documents for it has no impact on the citizenship status and its entitlements.

-- Cruz's "citizenship" status has never been adjudicated. --

If it hasn't been, then he is an alien. I have seen no evidence that his claim to US citizenship has been adjudicated. My remark is that if he has US citizenship, it is via an adjudicatory process, and that Cruz is a naturalized citizen of the US.

See 7 FAM 1441.1(f)(6) (State Department Manual) for use of the word "adjudication" in the context of application for a CRBA.

The money quote:

"According to Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier, Cruz's mother did register his birth with the U.S. consulate and Cruz received a U.S. passport in 1986 ahead of a high school trip to England.

There are two apparent contradictions regarding how and when Ted Cruz obtained US citizenship."

“Obama did indeed put the icing on the cake”

If, by “put the icing on the cake”, you mean “lowered the bar”, you are so correct.

Call me crazy, I’d be happy to have a 100% American in the Oval Office.

Churchill’s Mother likely renounced her citizenship or lost it by the statutes at the time.
