So, who do you most trust to nominate a Constitutional conservative for the US Supreme Court?
If the Republicans rush through a n Obama nomination watch the Court go into special session to take up a host of newly minted cases to end the Republic before November. The Court does not have to take things as they come up through the lower courts. It can take things out of the air as it were.
Don’t count on that. A constitutionalist is exactly what is needed right now.

Didn’t you figure Ginsburg would finally lay down. She’s looked like crap for years.
We are so screwed. Our only hope is Ginzburg keeps breathing until a decent president is sworn in.
Don’t rule out Obama nominating Eric Holder. And I see McCain and McConnell saying “The president has the right to put who he wants on the court.”
I like Kudlow. Don’t like his position on immigration, but he seems like a very decent guy. Smart and honest is how he comes across and of course he has an impressive background. Also has admitted openly to deep troubles in his early life that he was able to turn around at least in part due to his conversion to Catholicism.
Certainly the best mind on the current court prior to his death, with Thomas and Alito being close.

Cruz strongly backed Roberts.

I think Roberts thought his decision/position would be overturned by “The People”. Much like the Judge in the OJ Simpson case.
Name me one current U.S. Senator that did not?
He can appoint but will the Senate approve?
Now, more than ever, we need to elect Senator Cruz to the Presidency. Obama is going to replace Scalia with the most left leaning social activist Supreme Court jurist he can find and we cannot expect the establishment Republicans to do anything but what they always do: support Obama. Trump doesn’t even know the difference amongst the Supreme Court Judges.
Two words. Eric. Holder.

Stopping Zero from putting anyone on the court (a la Johnson replacing Warren in 1968) is of absolute paramount importance.
