Mark Levin Unloads: Trump Is "Pretty Damn Close" to Sounding Like a 9/11 Truther

After the conclusion of the GOP presidential debate on Saturday, which was hosted by CBS News, I described Donald Trump's performance as unhinged, angry and liberal after he praised Planned Parenthood and accused President George W. Bush of lying about the Iraq war.

Last night on his radio show, Mark Levin didn't mince words when describing Trump's debate performance.

"The fact that Donald Trump attacked George W. Bush, not because of his liberal domestic policies, not because he expanded Medicare, not because he was weak on the First Amendment, not because of those things, expanded government, increased the debt, was for comprehensive immigration reform, but the fact that he attacked George Bush as a Commander-in-Chief... not because he disagreed with him but he attacked him as a liar who knew there were not weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and said he was responsible for 9/11 and he was responsible for those towers coming down," Levin said. "Ladies and gentlemen, this is why I posted on my Facebook page 'This guy sounds like CodePink!'"

"He sounds like a radical kook," Levin continued. "All the rest aside, I know too many gold star families who lost sons over there to hear this 9/11 truther crap which is pretty close to it. Pretty damn close to it."

You can listen to the segment here.

Not only did Trump sound like CodePink over the weekend, the radical progressive group retweeted him yesterday.

Radio host Rush Limbaugh also said Monday Trump sounded like a liberal Democrat during some of his answers at the CBS debate.

"Here we are in a Republican primary, and Donald Trump, out of the blue, starts blaming the Bush family for 9/11, for knowing that the intelligence was made up, that there never were any weapons of mass destruction, and they knew it, Trump said," Limbaugh said on his radio program. "Michael Moore doesn’t even say that."

"On the stage at a Republican debate, Donald Trump defended Planned Parenthood. Not the abortion stuff, he said, but the fact that they do great things for women’s health," Limbaugh continued. "Folks, there were a number of occasions where Donald Trump sounded like the Daily Kos blog, where Donald Trump sounded like the Democrat Underground, sounded like any average host on MSNBC."

I agree with much of your sentiment.

It must have burned Mark to hear Sessions praising Trump on the show.

I wish I had heard it, but I stopped listening to his show last month.

Either way it’s true, Bush did not keep us safe. In fact we lost many of our freedoms because of Bush.

Go back a follow the conversation I was having with the other poster.

My point was, that Levin was not being dishonest.

Yes. I am so disgusted with Trump and his supporters, it almost makes me sick.

Saw Dubya on Fox this morning. What a nice guy and what a good, decent president who loved this country so much.

And who, by the way, has a 86% approval rating in Texas.

So, how do you like being on the side of great thinkers like Ahmahdinejad and Jesse Ventura?

Congrat yourself, you will likely succeed in electing a final democrat to finish off the Republic.

If more true conservatives woke up, realized Trump for the potentially dangerous phony that he is, and got behind Cruz, he (Cruz) could easily defeat Hillary or Bernie. Why do we have to settle for an obvious impostor like Trump? There's still plenty of time yet.

Said this a couple of days ago. I repeat ...

Donald Trump is a loose cannon. Up to this point I've been mildly amused by his NYC shtick appreciating the fact he was bringing up points that made the PC liberal media squirm. Now that he's attacking Bush II he's beginning to sound like Maureen Dowd (the op-ed columnist for the NY Times) who has a very bad case of BDS ... Bush Derangement Syndrome. Time for Trump to stand down, he's over as far as I'm concerned.

IMHO Saddam had the raw materials for WMD's but were they deliverable? Aka, could it be put in a shell or whatever and be delivered. Mil-Spec experts please respond, were they deliverable?

I just heard a clip from Mark Levin last night on Kuhner Country ( Jeff Kuhner WRKO 680am Boston, listen on the web or via their app ) that sounded like my points I posted yesterday without even hearing Mark.

Wow I am humbled, I am thinking like the "great one", the post link below...

I feel the same way as you do. Not just nice but also classy which you can not say of the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave and surely not of Trump.

It does not surprise me that he has a 86% approval rating in Texas. He was definitely the best president of the 21st century and 0bama the worst.

“It’s called conflict of interest.”

Levin is a private citizen who has a radio show. There’s no conflict of interest.

Well, well, well... looks like its not just Lindsey Graham saying Trump sounds like Michael Moore & the MoveOn.org crowd.

Doesn't matter to Trumpbots though. Mark Levin, who they previously claimed was some kind of infallible savior of the Constitution, has been thrown under the bus for daring to disagree with Trump. Like, Thomas Sowell and other impeccable respected conservative figures are under the bus for speaking out against Trump.

Shut up Levin.

He can not shut up, he now works on the Cruz campaign as the office spokesperson. If you look at his facebook page, you will see nothing but posts defending Ted Cruz and attacking his opponents. Post after post of how dare Rubio beat up his boss in the debate, Trump is this or that ...

He is ruining Conservative Review. It used to be a good site. Now you have to login (probably soliciting for Cruz donations) and it reeks of being one-sided.

All the while he says that he "hasn't made an endorsement yet". What a carnival barker.

That’s funny, because yesterday, he talked about Scalia, the democrats filibustering of one of Reagan’s nominations, Trump, Cruz, Rubio and the Gang of 8. Along with interviewing Jeff Sessions. Nope, definitely not a 3 hour show hating on Trump.

I was a 6 year listener and gave up on him after hearing him go on for over a month about how bad Trump is, even though he kept saying that he has not endorsed anyone yet. Maybe he took a break for a day, but look at his facebook page. It is nothing but hard-lined defence of Cruz against anyone attacking Cruz. He has become a Cruzader and I have given up on him. Still listen to Rush, at least he's fair.
