My guess is the reason that he apologized to Carson is because he thought that is the best way to make this go away, but it’s not going away, especially not with Cruz himself still talking about it and actually lying about it.
If he wanted to actually apologize for it, then he would say that he is sorry for his campaign telling voters that Carson is suspending his campaign while they are voting in a caucus, because that is the actual foul that occurred.
Saying that he was simply relaying a news story is absolutely false, CNN never reported that Carson was going to suspend his campaign.
And Tilly’s attitude is exactly why i will vote for Trump.

The rank and file voters of the GOP are just as dependent upon the media to form their opinions on candidates. Cruz has been denigrated for years while Trump has a bunch of name recognition from the non-political realm. If these people have heard of Cruz, and most have not, they heard how evil he is. Trump also still gets more air time while he lies about Cruz lying. So, name recognition, the advantage that McCain and Romney had, is your answer.

I starting to believe that the GOPe asked Trump to join... GOPe told Trump to attack ILLEGALS, other candidates then after ATTACK CRUZ. I was a strong Trump supporter, but now he is becoming two faced.

I just heard Cruz lie at his press conference with my own ears with regard to what his campaign did to Carson in Iowa.
