This is a video, of the Head of the Berkeley school of Governent. He served in the administrations of Ford, Carter, and Clinton. He was the Secretary of Labor for President Clinton from 1993 to 1997. In the video, he details who is the biggest threat to liberal, socialist, or communist agenda. Hint it is not Donald Trump. The video is two minutes long, but very enlightening about how the left views our leading contenders for President.
Beck is a flake, every campaign has them....But with Trump it’s the majority.
“I look at what is going on with those companies leaving America, and it has nothing to do with the trade deals. It has to do with the vast reams of tax laws, environmental regulations, and labor regulations crippling the economy.”
That certainly can be added into the mix, but the companies are in search of cheap labor; for example, labor cost for Ford will go from $20 dollars an hour cost to $3 hour cost in Mexico. The trade deals make it possible because NAFTA, for example, removes all tariffs from items moving across the border. If the tariff was in place, these companies would not find it worth their while to move across the border. Before NAFTA, we did not have a trade deficit with Mexico, of all places. Now, we do. A trade deficit gives the amount of money, jobs, we lose to foreign countries.
“[Cruz] can’t get things done because he is not liked and doesn’t get along with people.”
That is legitimate assertion because that is what Cruz claims and wants people to believe. He is in with Goldman Sachs up to his earlobes and still wants to be considered an “outsider”. It sounds dramatic. When have you seen an election where the ones running did NOT campaign on clearing the place out. That is standard boilerplate.
I don’t see people worshiping Trump anywhere.
I do see someone worshiping Cruz, literally.
“Of course, Trump is a fellow progressive.”
It’s seems likely to me that Reich fears Trump more than Cruz, in that he proffers an ad that endorses Cruz to the constitutionalists who are voting GOP, and slams Trump....
Strategery
So Cruz was lying when he called McConnell a liar on the senate floor. Ok.
LOL. Like when CNN and Time and Newsweek and all the other progressive news outlets are used to defend DT. I’m sticking with Rush and Levin. Haven’t heard Savage in a while but I might start up again.
Yet ANOTHER attempt to prop up Cruz to try to take down Trump. Won’t work, but I can’t blame the left for trying - nothing they’re doing is working, at all.
This little person should be ignored
Hillary more dangerous than Cruz.
Robert Reich said on TV that communism failed in the soviet union because the right people weren’t in charge. Guess he’d say that about Obama after 7 failed years.
Trust me, you’ll watch the video and your opinion of Cruz will RISE.
PING
I thought I saw a thread last night about Reich endorsing Cruz. ???
If Trump could be successful in delivering just one conservative issue into law that would be far more success than what conservatives are used to gaining, and certainly far better than what the GOP would accomplish.
I’m not sure how that connects to my post but ... OK.
Whenever I see his name in print, I mentally pronounce it Robert Reichhhhhhhhhhhhh. With a lot of sssshhhhhhhhh at the end. Thanks to Rush.
Trust me, youâll watch the video and your opinion of Cruz will RISE.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
You owe me the minute and a half that I just wasted watching that video.
The entire reason Cruz is not doing much better is because those of us that held him in high esteem now QUESTION HIS CHARACTER and what his exact motives are! And we did not come to these conclusions in a vacuum. Cruz and his campaign have been grotesquely disappointing.
How the hell is anything Robert Reich says going to change that? So no, I don’t trust Cruz, and now I don’t trust you.
Any conservative watching that video will see the irony of Robert Reich listing all of the “negatives” of Cruz which, one after the other, are positives to conservatives. Sorry you didn’t enjoy it.
We’ve come to believe that we don’t really know or trusTed.
Consequently, any conservative, liberal, socialist, or communist will know that that fact renders everything Reich said meaningless.
Who is this “we” you speak of? Ted is the most consistently conservative candidate we’ve seen in a long time.
