Shouts of ‘liar’ are taking their toll on Ted Cruz’s campaign
MSN News ^ | FEB. 24, 2016 | Katie Zezima

Ted Cruz's presidential bid is in turmoil after repeated allegations of unsavory campaign tactics by his Republican rivals, leading some key supporters to call for a shake-up in the candidate's message and strategy a week ahead of the crucial Super Tuesday primaries.

Aides and allies of the insurgent senator from Texas acknowledged in interviews this week that the campaign has been damaged by attacks on Cruz's integrity from Donald Trump and Marco Rubio. They have pointed to a series of questionable tactics by the Cruz camp, including calls to voters suggesting that candidate Ben Carson was dropping out and the sharing of an inaccurate video suggesting Rubio had disparaged the Bible.

Ted may be honorable (and a brilliant attorney), but the tactics of his comm director, who he had to fire, left the impression that Ted is not a good human resources manager.

Nah, Cruz is establishment. His campaign miscalculated.

“Someone screams it enough times, the gullible start believing it.”

Go convince Carson that he is being gullible.

” For all of those in the Trump camp who are condemning Cruz, do you think Cruz’s supporters are going to Trump?”

The ones who are truly anti-establishment will go to Trump. The really hateful ones will have a fit and stay home or do a ‘protest’ vote.

Exactly..interesting how often we hear the screams of “gullible” directed at Trump supporters.

Guess by their logic,,tell a lie often enough..

“Go convince Carson that he is being gullible.”

I’m not into wasting my time on gullible people.

Or the Cruz campaign has been caught lying and Cruz has apologized for it. More than once. I would guess that is the reason more than what you stated. The problem with Cruz setting himself up as the morally superior candidate is that he is then expected to run a very clean campaign, which many people perceive he has not.

Happily, Trump isn’t lying when on Monday he says A, and on Tuesday he says B, because he truly believed each contradictory thing at that moment.

Situational Ethics 101, one of the amazing classes that was taught at Trump University.

You think it's rough here in FR now? Just wait until President Trump starts doing deals with Pelosi and Schumer. They're kindred spirits.

Sorry screaming into the wind, but truth is truth!

The sad thing is, in the world of politics,

Perception is reality

I agree with you. At this point I think the Washington cartel/msm could care less if Trump or Rubio wins. They could control either of them. Rubio/Trump both know how to play ball. Trump may throw a tantrum here and there, but he has no principles. With enough pressure and ego-stroking, he can be kept in line.

I just wish I could Shake every Trump fan and tell them they’re being played for saps.

I mean, maybe Trump will do some good. Anything is possible. I hope he does. I just don’t get why anyone would take a chance on Trump when you have Ted. Ted is as close to perfect as you’ll ever get, and we’re missing such a great opportunity.

Anyway, I’ll keep fighting for Ted. I don’t trust either Rubio or Trump. The only way I’d begrudgingly support either of them is if Ted is aboard.

> The MSM is going after Ted Cruz and trying to destroy him. The MSM supports the continual lies by Obama and Hillary Clinton. At the same time they try to portray Senator Cruz as a liar.

IMO its because he is the biggest threat to the leftists in regard to tearing down and destroying everything they've set in motion to bring the U.S. to its knees in the future. He's a Constitutionalist and conservative and he's smart; a triple threat. They know he would put laws in place to further solidify protections for the Constitution. That he would start dismantling Obamacare and the faux Climate Change machine, and oppose the LGBT Gestapo and PC BS that punishes Christians and forces them to bake cakes or be fined enough to destroy one's life.

I believe the MSM will do anything to stop him even if it means printing lies or reporting whatever the administration gleans from NSA monitoring of every communication he makes. I also believe that Soros is probably throwing money into the fray to smear him. I think this is the real reason we're seeing this now and the reason that other candidate who use the same type of tactics aren't being called on it.

tRump supporters are the hateful ones. They claim they like the Donald because he “speaks his mind” but refuse to give the same courtesy to anyone else who speaks their mind bout tRump. tRump and his supporters are the ones who have made it impossible for me to vote for him.

On top of that Cruz supporters have been told many times that their vote is not needed for the Donald to win, so I’m good with that.

Correction, nobody in Washington likes Ted. That’s why I love him.

Everyone likes Trump and Rubio because they fall in line at the end of the day.

I think that hooking himself up with Glenn Beck has hurt him. I thought that Cruz had learned his lesson about the crazy talk Beck was spouting in SC, and was surprised that Cruz had Beck campaigning for him in NV.

NEWSFLASH: Brownshirts have disseminated the Big Lie about Ted Cruz, and vulnerable minds have believed it. I don’t care if Jim gives me the boot, but I’m saying it while I last-—Trump is a sick man. And the support for this man who has supported every demon in America is shameful.

There were no calls! It happened at the caucus, and CNN was the impetus, not the Cruz campaign.

That is true, but incomplete. The Cruz campaign added stuff to the CNN report (such as the "big announcement next week" thing) which came neither from CNN nor the Carson campaign. They promoted what was idle speculation on CNN's part as fact.

That's pure dishonesty.
