WHO IS PARTICIPATING IN THE DEBATE? Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson; U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas; Ohio Gov. John Kasich; U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, and businessman Donald Trump.

WHO IS MODERATING THE DEBATE? Wolf Blitzer of CNN will moderate the debate. Telemundo's Maria Celeste Arrarás, conservative talk radio host Hugh Hewitt and CNN's Chief Political Correspondent Dana Bash will also ask questions of the candidates.

HOW DID THE QUALIFY FOR THE DEBATE? Candidates needed to file a statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Commission, be actively campaigning for the Republican nomination and meet at least one of the following criteria:

- Have received support from at least 5 percent of those who attended the Republican Iowa caucuses.

- Have received at least 5 percent of the overall vote in the New Hampshire primary.

- Receive at least 5 percent of the overall vote in the South Carolina primary.

- Receive at least 5 percent support in the Nevada caucuses.

You and Cruz are on the same page. Cruz will only vote for Rubio, not Trump, guess Cruz will write in his own name or he will write in Rubios name.

But should not really matter because if Trump wins the nomination, Trump will likely win Texas which is where Cruz would normally be voting from. So Cruzs vote against Trump will not amount to much.

Maybe... maybe Romney saying what he did has something behind it? I mean, you don't really know do you? I understand your a trumpster and you don't like him being attacked etc. But at the end of the day... you don't know for a fact, or really even a little bit what may or may not be true about Trumpy's tax returns. For all you or I know, someone in the IRS said something to the RNC establishment that Romney has run with. Or maybe Romney is just on a fishing expedition. But we don't know. So, me, I'm careful about making blanket statements about things that I don't know anything about. But, that's me.

IF someone in the IRS has leaked something about Trump's confidential taxpayer files to ANYONE, and it gets out, there will be Hell To Pay.

After the Romney thing, and Lois Lerner, the IRS can't afford to be cavalier about its own official rules regarding taxpayer file confidentiality.

We're talking about SERIOUS FELONIES, and the reason is that if it becomes an open and notorious fact that your "confidential taxpayer files" are not so confidential, you're going to have people showing up in tax court slamming the judges in the face with an "I'm not sharing that information with the felonious IRS" cream pie.

Judges don't like being embarrassed in their own courtrooms.

If I was Trump, with all his cash - I'd just laugh it off as a fishing expedition by Romney. If hard data shows up from the IRS files, I'd hit them harder than the shark in Jaws.

They wouldn't even get to say "We're gonna need a bigger boat."

And the rest of Peasant America would be cheering. I don't think there'd even need to be an election. "Popular Acclamation" would be the phrase of the day.
