Why don't they say Kelo instead of eminent domain?

We all hate Kelo tyranny.

What Trump says about Kelo is the real question.

Sounds like a very reasonable and accurate statement to me. I think the first hundred names in the phone book would make better presidents than Trump.

What he says about Kelo even, however, doesn’t really impact his role as president—other than whom he’d appoint to the SC. On that count, Cruz’s wild support for Roberts doesn’t really give him a better record than Trump’s non-record.

They both say the right things on the issue. My hope at this point would be that Trump names Cruz to the SC, so Cruz could really address it.

The Trump Revolution taught me that ...

** Trump likes to buy solutions on the cheap and refuses to buy trouble. **

Cruz just bought all of Rubio’s political baggage.

I am tired of his supporter's insults and you only proved it by your post to me that accused me of being an amnesty supporter. You further solidified my position!

You make my point; you will vote for Cruz who endorsed Rubio last night; Cruz delegates = Rubio delegates. Next you have to argue Rubio is not for amnesty, which would not even be a campaign issue among your inside team except Trump, the outsider, so audaciously put The Wall on the table.

Hilarious. Just the other ago you were claiming that Cruz supporters threats to jump to Rubio did not reflect similar beliefs between the two candidates.

Then last night Cruz endorsed amnesty and Obamatrade when he said his friend “Marco” would be a good POTUS.

That you don’t bat an eye to that betrayal of conservative principles proves that support of Cruz is not at all about conservative issues with Cruzers like you. Saint Raphael of Goldman cultists are drinking the Kruz-Aid to the end no matter the position he takes. Don’t worry it won’t be long. Cruz is at 12% in Florida and shacking up with Marco Amnestio is his last desperate ploy. Bye bye.

Last night Cruz embraced the IRS and amnestio in one fell swoop. Color him over.

Trump has nothing to do with conservative principles. The simple fact is that I don't believe Trump for a minute. The reason he can't articulate any actual policies is because he really doesn't believe what he says - like any good con man, he knows how to say what his marks want to hear. And when anyone challenges him for specifics of haw he is going to implement his "policies", he interrupts them, insults them, makes unsubstantiated allegations against them - anything to avoid giving details. And when he DOES slip up and give some specifics and he gets called on them, he lies and says he never said that (even when confronted with documented evidence) and then calls the other person a liar.

I honestly believe that Trump could stand on the stage and do nothing but fart, belch and swear, and you Trumpkins would swoon over how eloquent and intelligent he was, and Drudge would show him winning the debate with 125% of the vote!

I'm not a fan of many of Marco's positions, but I have no doubt he would be a better president than Trump.

I agree. I'm all in for Cruz, and I will proudly vote for him on March 15. But if for some reason Cruz doesn't make it, I would definitely prefer Rubio over Trump. I'm ABT.

From the transcript:

Scott Pelley: The uninsured person is going to be taken care of how?

Donald Trump: They’re going to be taken care of. I would make a deal with existing hospitals to take care of people. And, you know what, if this is probably—

Scott Pelley: Make a deal? Who pays for it?

Donald Trump: —the government’s gonna pay for it. But we’re going to save so much money on the other side. But for the most it’s going to be a private plan and people are going to be able to go out and negotiate great plans with lots of different competition with lots of competitors with great companies and they can have their doctors, they can have plans, they can have everything.

There’s a ways between ‘’the government is going to pay for everybody’’ (which is what Aquinas said) & the government is going to pay for people who are uninsured.

The facts I cited are there- private plans, making deals with existing hospitals, repeal & replace Obamacare.

The problem with you guys is that you cherry pick & omit things to try & make things say what you want them to say.

0.o You’re not Aquinas.

You are right, DT mentioned private insurance. I didn’t mean to cherry pick.

DT is going to get rid of ‘obamacare’, and replacing THAT with ‘the government’s gonna pay for it’.

I was wrong. I won’t make that mistake again.

Baby face Rubio has fangs...Trump got mauled.

It's just that so many of the things he said were inaccurate or false, and will be shot down by the interwebs. All he accomplished was to show Trump the hand of the opposition.

It’s kind of ironic that you use Cruz’s comments about Rubio to laud him for his honesty, when it’s his honesty regarding his professed conservatism that is thrown into doubt by those very comments.

You are on a conservative website promoting Trump - you see no irony in that.
Yes, I will take a boring crony crook Hillary over this Putin-loving, fraud-enabling narcissistic ignoramus.

The anti-illegal people make a very big mistake in trying to re-define the word CONSERVATIVE to
exclude a small government approach to immigration and to
exclude a capitalist approach to immigration and to
push expansion of government to tel employers whom they can and cannot hire

The reality is that a position is conservative on immigration that

opposes welfare to immigrants (legal, illegal, and naturalized)
opposes immigration for murderers, rapits, DUI drivers

BUT
allows immigration (a path to x) for those who work.
It is conservative to be for those who work.

A mistake of all the politicians is to be silent on welfare for immigrants.

It is conservative to be for those who work..

People are not units of labor. They bring their cultures.

Your glorious immigrant workers have worked Reagan's Californian into a permanent left wing lunatic asylum and Electoral College lock for the Democrats.

It is conservative to reject your nonsense.

Obamacare is forced on everyone. And everyone absorbs the cost for people who cannot pay for it. Trump is talking ONLY about those who cannot AFFORD insurance. Changing the priorities of government spending by eliminating various ‘’Departments of’’ & eliminating waste, fraud, & abuse is where the money will come from, rather than a new burden on the backs of the taxpayers, as 0bamacare is & has been.

Take into consideration also the unemployment & depressed wages situations as reasons WHY people can’t afford insurance. If those genuinely improve, significantly more people will be ABLE to afford to purchase health insurance.

I don’t know if you were involved in the ‘’0bamacare wars’’ prior to the bill being passed (actually DEEMED passed & by some pretty tricky maneuvers in the Senate), but *before they even started working on the bill*, 0bama & some of his people had backroom meetings with the insurance companies, PhRMA. . . probably some actual medical people, too, but I don’t specifically recall that. Basically, it was a bailout that keeps on giving.

0bama essentially promised them that they could charge whatever they wanted
& that he would ‘deliver the goods’ via the mandate. Which is what happened. This is what started the ‘’wars’’. Many democrats & single payer advocates went ballistic (because 0bama eliminated a ‘’public option’’ right off the bat), along with other people who were paying attention.

I’m sure Trump knows what a screw job this was- completely crooked, convoluted, & with a bunch of stuff that was completely unnecessary & a sop to special interests (ie. mandatory birth control coverage & maternity coverage NOT JUST FOR MEN, but for women beyond the age that it is even needed.).
It’s a complete rip-off.

This is why Trump’s having a fit.
Premiums, pharmaceuticals, & healthcare are exploiting a captive audience, via the mandate- so of course, prices are going through the roof.

Believe it or not, back in ‘’the old days’’, businesses provided health insurance for their employees. As a small business (& we were tiny- 2 people with a few seasonal OJT high school students) in the 80s, we had no problem affording it.

It wasn’t ‘’required by law’’. It’s just the way it was. But that was before all the government BS started cutting so deeply into profits- & for many people, even the ability, to sustain a business.

This is just one of the things Trump means with ‘’Make America Great Again’’. In all of the bum’s rush & stress of the past 30 years, maybe some people have forgotten how America used to be. And some are too young to remember or even know.

We lost our way in many more daily & widespread areas of American culture than just abortion & gays going mainstream. Those 2 issues affect a very small- or at least, limited, percentage of Americans. Or they did. The myriad other deteriorations affect pretty much everyone. The war on faith IS part of this ‘pretty much everyone’.

For whatever that’s worth.
