The IRS old computers and internet probably could not handle that.
My cpa does not mail in our 3/4 inch stack, he scans them and electronically sends them in. He does it in the evening so his internet connection can handle it.

If everybody submitted a paper return the IRS would be so far behind they would never catch up.
Why should any politician be required to release their tax returns? Isn’t that a private matter?
End withholding and this crap stops.

After I retired. I was an independent contractor, and I could not believe the paper work that was created.
We figured out that every other pay check needed to be put into an escrow account to pay for our Fed/Cali taxes, both sides of SS and other stuff. We still owed money at the end of the year.
When I turned 62, our CPA told me to take the early SS, forget the crazy travel and learn how to manage our investments. My wife protested until our CPA said that if I didn’t, my wife should sit in the back of our pickup with a homer bucket filled with 5 and 10 $ and throw them out to the unemployed as we drove by.
It was the best advice we ever got.

They don't have to release tax returns. My understanding of the law is a financial statement is what is released which is not the same thing. But the politicians do so anyway because they are bated to do so by the press or opposition candidates.
My wife (God rest her soul) used to take books outside.
Then I introduced her to a hunting blind about a mile into the woods. Well, that blind soon smelled like her so I had to let her have it.... just keep that smellygood butt out of my other blinds. Anytime I couldn’t find her and a 4wheeler was missing, I knew where she was.

Given Trump’s proclivity for “exaggeration” (some of us have another word for that), how do we know those are his REAL tax returns? Release them, Donald!

He is not filing EZ form. Day you will make money, you will know how to file IRS form.
And if you have income from abroad, you will get audit from IRS.
Bush admin started lot of auditing. My worst nightmare was during Bush days.
