Sen. Ted Cruz speculated Sunday that Republican presidential rival Donald Trump might be delaying the release of his tax returns because of possible ties with the mob.
"Maybe it is the case that Donald, there have been multiple media reports about Donald's business dealings with the mob, with the mafia," Cruz said on "Meet the Press."
"Maybe his taxes show those business dealings are a lot more extensive than has been reported," he added.
Cruz repeated the suggestion on ABC's "This Week," seemingly stunning host George Stephanopoulos.
"Business dealings with the mafia?" Stephanopoulos asked, incredulously.

Another lie. Trump was talking about people who cannot afford health care. He always, always, stipulates that. He did so Thursday night, and Cruz and Rubio ignored it and made themselves look like fools.
We already have universal care. It is mandated by state, federal laws.
TPP allows the to flood the USA with any number of foreign workers and override many other U.S. laws .Trump is the only running that is against TPP. He’s always been against NAFTA TPP etc. so how do you propose to stop TPP? cruz is snake and for it as that link shows.
