Why Trump Is Winning
Newsmax ^ | 2/26/2016 | Scott Rasmussen

In a time where voters believe that all of official Washington is corrupt, the notion of having a president who doesn't owe anybody anything can seem enticing. Besides, many voters concluded long ago that it doesn't matter whether Republicans or Democrats win.

In either case, the political insiders are the real winners and the nation is the loser.

We've seen this storm coming. Three presidents in a row came into office with their party in control of Congress. Each time, unhappy voters expressed their disapproval in midterm elections by putting the other party in charge of congress.

Never before in American history has that happened to even two consecutive presidents.

This is a fundamental rejection of both political parties.

The rise of Donald Trump as the Republican front-runner is another expression of this frustration.

No, the real problem is the term "conservatism" has been hijacked by the neo-cons in the party to be whatever the hell they say it means. Today that term means supporting trade deals that transfer wealth, jobs, investment and technology to other nations.

It means invading other nations and endless trillion dollar occupations. It means letting Wall Street and the Banks run wild to do whatever they want even if it means multi-trillion dollar bail outs. It means letting insurance companies write our health care legislation.

Bottom line: conservatism is following the Constitution and protecting the rights and interests of the American People; not being a lobbyist for big business or the highest bidder.

EXACTLY. National policies, liberal or conservative, make no difference until you have a nation. Unlimited immigration destroys the nation.

Best endorsement ever - Jeff Sessions puts on a “Make America Great Again” hat!

Jefferson Sessions is a good man, a fine Senator, one who might have been a Cruz-bot...but in my opinion he understands that 'will do' beats 'say'. And he has been a confidant of Trump's re the illegal immigration problem. He has insight into Trump, who he is and for what he stands.

This endorsement will weigh heavily in the SEC states on Super Tuesday.

Watch for more heavy hitter endorsements in the days ahead.!

GO TRUMP!

“So, I’m to understand that because certain politicians, but not all, sell themselves as conservatives but act and vote as moderates or liberals”

Not certain, but nearly ALL politicians that have sold themselves as “conservative” during the last two decades have been liars and turncoats.

It is also a repudiation of conservatism.

As you define it...Conservatives don't support unfair trade agreements such as TPP and NAFTA and the New World Order...Conservatives do not support amnesty...Conservatives do not support H1B visas for foreigners when we have so many Americans out of work...

Conservatism has failed everyone but the conservative flea marketers who have been selling their wares for 15-20 years.

They’ve made themselves rich from selling our names to conservative candidates who hit us up for money; from selling their services as campaign directors & media consultants to candidates who are too stupid to know they’re being fleeced; from creating PACs and think-tanks and blogging and magazines; appearing on faux news networks as “patriots” and “non-spin pundits”; writing books and doing paid speaking engagements, and going to CPAC to sell their books and push their organizations.

(just to name a few)

b.t.t.t.

This is absolutely spot-on. Choosing from any of the anti-Trump blogs, media orgs, pundits, newies, politicians, etc—

Which of them has any recent experience in coping with being middle class or below, in dealing with being downsized, losing their homes, cars, healthcare, etc etc?

The people pushing the hardest against Trump, are those who appear to be the most entrenched in riding the corporate gravy trains, one way or another.

I can assure you that I am not riding any corporate gravy train. The reason I push so hard against Donald Trump is because he espouses liberal policies.

Actually, Rush would make money hand over fist if he talked d trump up, in additional market share and therefore confiscatory ad rates.

We will soon see if he is in fact a clever business man, and how he becomes enlightened.

You’ve never been a conservative. You were just looking for a cool part of the pot to swim to while waiting to boil. Enjoy the North Korea style communism and transgender bathrooms you’re headed for.

Oh really? Funding Planned Parenthood is a liberal position. So is government-paid health care. Touchback amnesty is still amnesty - a liberal position. And supporting Kelo is beyond being a liberal position. Not even Bernie Sanders does that. Yet Trump does. So yes, Trump espouses liberal policies. His own words verify that.
