He must be the designated fall-guy for Hillary.
If Pagliano refused to give sworn testimony, he would be in deep doo doo. This where that old saying about being between a rock and a hard place come into play.
The only way he can stay out of jail is to use that immunity to the hilt and divulge all his dirty dealings with Hillary, knowing he won't be prosecuted for his part in the conspiracy.
The Democrats want this issue resolved real soon, because they sure don't want this hanging over their heads going into the general election, and they have a lot of hard work ahead. After all, they have to erase Hillary from public memory, and either sign on the Bernie Train or pick and groom a "second-stringer" to run in her place.
It's a little... no, a LOT ironic that the FBI is using the same tactics to take the "alleged" perp-in-the-pantsuit down that they used to take down the mob, how appropriate. From up here in the cheap seats, that looks like Check and Checkmate to me.
I believe granting of immunity involves a US Attorney not just the FBI. That means this case is about to move to a Grand Jury if there is not one already.
David Kendall is HRC’s lawyer. I don't care for Kendall, but I'll give him this: he is an ethical attorney. It would be legally disastrous for HRC to try to contact this IT guy-turned-government-witness in any way from this point on, or to receive messages from him. I'm sure the IT guy's own lawyer has told him that as well. If this guy wanted to back HRC no matter what, he simply would have stuck with pleading the 5th. To cut an immunity deal with Justice/FBI, and then break the law by contacting people you'll be testifying about, would be as nonsensical as it would be illegal.
I'd bet this IT guy is being both monitored and guarded by the FBI. He's not going to be contacting HRC or anyone in her circle.
The FBI may screw up cracking computer codes, but making sure a federal witness isn't rubbed out is something they've been good at for a l-o-o-o-ong time.
I’m split on whether this means the guy will sing on Hillary and her cohort, or whether he now falls on the sword (with no repercussions), if the just-us department screwed the pooch in defining the deal.
Time, I hope, will tell.

Must be a Grand Jury going on.
I don’t believe you can pardon a person who hasn’t been sentenced. Meaning a mere conviction he can’t pardon
Ford pardoned Nixon.
Oh man I feel so dumb right now! I pray she isn’t even indicted until after then!! Nothing to pardon
FoxBusinessNews is reporting on the grant of immunity claiming that only a judge can grant immunity and that this strongly implies that a Grand Jury has been impaneled.
I dont think you can plead the 5th if you have immunity.
No. But he’ll be like that guy in “The Godfather” who was to testify against the Corleone family.
He’ll get a sudden case of amnesia and they’ll find him dead in the bathtub the next morning. Poor guy.
But his family will be taken care of!!!
“they could/should have made this deal months ago..”
When he pled the 5th during his Congressional testimony, the congress could have forced testimony by offering him immunity. They did not do so because of an FBI investigation.
And in exchange Hillary will keep her mouth shut about Hussein’s involvement so that she can be pardoned at the end of this year.
