Mitt Romney said Friday he will not make an 11th-hour presidential run to try to stop Donald Trump from winning the Republican nomination, the day after sharply attacking the real estate mogul's candidacy.
"I won't run for president," Romney told host Matt Lauer on NBC's "Today" show.
Lauer asked the 2012 GOP presidential nominee three times about his 2016 ambitions, pressing for an "unambiguous" response after Romney appeared to leave the door to a bid slightly open.

How do you think Mitt would have reacted had John McCain done the same thing to him that Mitt did to Trump?
I think its OK for Mitt to express his support for a candidate and/or respectfully disagree with positions taken by Trump, but he went well beyond that. He stepped into the ugly realm of character assignation and tried to put his thumb on the scale. And he’s still at it this morning.
I submit that a decent man, especially one who has had his chance to run at the national level, would have more respect for the voice of the voters.

Yes. He is a liar. One time he says Trump is GOOD. Now he is saying Trump is BAD. Applying logic, one of the two times he was lying. That makes him a liar in my book. Also remember is SOCIALIZED MEDICINE in Massachusetts. He never told the truth that HALF of it was paid for by NATIONAL TAXPAYERS...until he was finally caught at hiding it.
He is NOT to be trusted. He is a weak establishment lackey.
Even moreso: If Romney falls in the woods and somebody’s there to hear it, does anyone care...?
I hate him and McCain. Sorry I ever voted for them.
So he just wants to mess up the primaries process and have the convention come begging for him to save the party.
Yeah, right. That is what the party needs: the guy who lost to the guy who lost to Obama in 2008; the guy who lost to Obama in 2012.

The Romney speech seems to have flopped. Those who already agreed with much of what was in Romney’s speech still agree. Those who think Romney is 4 year old noodles still think he is 4 year old noodles.
