Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has suggested building a new city in northern Syria to house some of the millions of refugees escaping the country’s civil war, reports said Saturday.

Erdogan said in a speech in Istanbul late Friday that the new city would be located near the Turkish border and said he had even discussed the idea with US President Barack Obama.

“I am going to tell you something. What is the formula? We found a city in the north of Syria,” said Erdogan, quoted by the Anatolia news agency.

Well fist, the US should not be toppling sovereign nations in so called ‘Arab springs’ to run pipelines to Europe thru them. Secondly, and corollary to the first, RESPECT the borders of others, and let the ISIS loving Turks and Saudis deal with the problem they instigated by closing European and US borders to them.

Apparently you think a new cold war with Russia is a good thing, sounds NWO to me.

Seems your ally Turkey is instrumental in allowing them to leave.

I never mentioned Russia.

Assad tried to make a statement that he was going to take the rest of Syria back and Russia clearly told him to forget about that.

No I am not. You are, by saying they`re our responsibility to the point that we need to get involved in a situation that could blow up into WWIII! Let them get bombed, or starved to death. I don`t give a dam about them. I care about American lives endangered by reckless Cold War arm chair generals like you that believe a second cold war with Russia is worth it by getting involved there. IT IS NOT!

You need to read better. I am the one who said it is a good thing if they are left in Syria. I was criticizing the people who said they should be moved out of Syria. Please reas the thread.

And you need to read the whole story on Syria. Russia has said they`re against further incursions into Syria, even to the point of threatening the use of tactical nukes if the Turks and Saudis invade. It`s a nuclear powder keg now.

Why is that relevant to this discussion? You think the U.S. is a vassal state to Russia, and we are required to do their and Assad’s bidding and take millions of refugees? I disagree. Syrian refugees belong in Syria.

That nuke powder keg is not worth Americans being vaporized in an exchange, NOT over some jihadi loving ragheads!

It is not our obligation to bail Putin out. Russia is in a death spiral. We can’t be responsible for all their mistakes. Putin likes to bluff, and one day he is going to lose.

Oil prices are low. Russia is severely hurting. Turkey is one of their top oil consumers. They can bluff, but they can’t afford to lose Turkey as an oil consumer.

Are you an ethnic Turk, by any chance? You seem to be taking very pro-Turk position. Or perhaps you don’t have the best understanding of the situations in the mid-East.

He has a mental block about taking in muslims. No one has said take them it, let them starve and die off, I couldn`t give two craps and a stroke less about them!
