The man was standing alone, leaning against the wall in the still half-empty conference room that the Marco Rubio campaign had rented for the senator's "big" Tampa rally. It was only 15 minutes before start time, and people were only trickling in.
"Are you a Rubio supporter?" I asked the 60-something gentleman.
"No. I'm just here to see the train wreck."
While in line 30 minutes before the event waiting (with only a couple of hundred other people) for the door to open, I heard several say, not that they had come to support Rubio, but that they were now undecided about who to vote for. Anxious campaign staff kept looking for crowds that weren't there, and would never materialize.

No Show Rubio.
“No. I’m just here to see the train wreck.”
That is funny.
Little Marco is going to be crushed but we want him to last as long as possible until he goes broke.
Flipped vote after making $200,000 IS the Rubio story. It’s sad but he’s not going to overcome it...
Is Rubio still in possession of that RNC Visa card ?

There was a Hillary rally in Beaumont TX recently where something like six people showed up, not counting the media present. She got upset for some reason and left to go to a Pakistani-muslim fundraiser.
Is that the one they were expecting 5000 to attend? It was on twitter - less than 300 showed up.
Yep, and there’s this from the article:
“As Marco entered the still partially filled room (I estimate a crowd of about 700 or so, and that is being generous)”
700......Tampa is a big town, not good at this stage of things. Being a long time Fla. resident, I at one time had very high hopes for this young man, but I’m afraid he has disappointed me.
He is in Sarasota tonight. I considered going but can’t stomach the attack Rubio. I have a feeling he is one of those republicans that can attack republicans but would fail to show up in the general. I want to see Hillary in handcuffs or getting verbally ripped apart for all of her corruption.
<< No. I’m just here to see the train wreck. >>
Yep.
I just don’t see how there was ever a reason for “Little Boots” to aspire to POTUS. Has he ever done anything in the private sector? I don’t think so. Does he have some long and illustrious academic pedigree or judicial experience. At least Ted Cruz has that going for him. Why would any sane person vote for a lightweight amnesty traitor with less than a term in the Senate and no management experience?
Marco Rubio is the least-qualified candidate to ever appear on the Republican ticket with the party’s full support. His role was never to win, only to help Jeb! by splitting the conservative vote. Get the fork ready...
Yes, his management experience is zero. None. Marco Rubio is the Cuban brother of Barak Hussein Obama. "Vote for me because I'll be the first Hispanic president ever." How exciting. /sarc Maybe his campaign would have worked 8 years ago. Too bad another first minority poisoned the well for the cabana boy. Yet he's still pulling 10 to 20% of the vote! Somebody needs to psychoanalyze his supporters. Who exactly would vote for this motor mouth? Inquiring minds want to know. |
Marco Poco
