Cruz wins in Idaho

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is projected to win the Idaho primary.

NBC News called the race for Cruz just before midnight Eastern — less than an hour after polls closed in the state. Fox News called it moments later.

The state’s result was in great doubt leading into Tuesday's primary because of a lack of polling in the state. Most pundits had shied away from making a prediction.

The Texas senator was endorsed by Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho), an influential member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus.

Idaho awards 32 delegates on a proportional basis.

Cruz is smelling more and more like warmed over Bush.

There's a visual I didn't need.

Your guy shot his wad.

He's taking on a couple of the Bush family, and getting Bush funding.

He's having a disgraced loser from the last campaign pulling for him.

And he has no path to victory in the large winner-take-all states.

He was designed to be the Pied Piper pulling the conservatives away from Bush.

And the Trump entered the race and gave a clear choice to make AMERICA great, not just DC.

OK, that’s cool. I love steak and the Dodgers, but I think Trump is a loser and a serial adulterer. I not only don’t like him, I think he is a miserable choice for president.

So what? it isn’t like any of us are ever going to pal around with any of them anyway. As long as Trump takes care of business - that’s all I care about.

Looks like 18-14 delegate allocation. Not official. Could change a bit.

Actually, if things stay the way they are right now, it should be 32-0 for Cruz:

"If one candidate wins more than 50% of the National Convention Delegates, that candidate receives all the National Convention Delegates. [Idaho Republican Party State Rules. Idaho Rules for Selection of Delegates to the National Convention and State Convention. Article VI. Section 3.(a)]"

Unless Rubio breaks 20%, looks like Trump will be shut out in Idaho...

Good for Rafael, it would be disappointing to lose Idaho, it being so close to his birth place in Calgary and all.

the senator who stood alone for 22 hours on the Senate floor fighting Obamacare (with limited support) and called Mitch McConnell a liar and paid the price of shunning, is another Bush.

Or Lt. Dan....

It’s time to edcuate you on Cruz’s stunts. He did these things to get his name out there because he had aspirations all along of running fro the presidency. It was a dog and pony show - “hot dogging,” and that’s all it was. I’m sorry you fell for his games. And, there was no one in the Senate chamber when he called McConnell a liar. He knew before pulling that stunt that McConnell was lying - so, there you go. Please don’t be taken in by theatrics and shiny, slick words from a layer/politician.

Big stinking deal. So Cruz hasn’t gotten some little laws passed. You try fighting the establishment with limited support because McConnell has so many lackeys.

What the hell has your boy Trump done? While Cruz was fighting the gang of eight amnesty bill, boy wonder was meeting with illegal aliens and telling them they had a just cause. And he also helped conservatives by making donations to the Clintons, Reid, Pelosi and Kerry.

Oh, contrare, Trump is the best choice for president. Ted’s parents were both married before - and there is no proof that they were ever legally married either when Ted was born. So, don’t throw stones at someone else, when Ted has skeletons in his own closet. Jesus rebuked Pharisees such as yourself because they thought they were so much holier than others.
