GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. “Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when voters’ get more engaged and they get more informed.” Hunch: I’m thinking Trump and his “Silent Majority” may push back on this just a bit don’t you think? Lots to unpack here but for now, here’s the clip.

I am always sorry when a supporter of a candidate becomes disappointed in that candidate!!! It is a tough blow to take, I have always been a Trump supporter and WELCOME you aboard, however I am sorry for the disappointment you feel in Cruz!!! WE will WIN this thing I feel it in my gut, I just pray everyday Trump WILL NOT let us down!!! If at any time Trump NEEDS money to continue I PRAY he comes to us if he goes to DONORS I am done with him also!!!!
We see Ted’s type of condescension echoed all the way down the food chain. I guess that’s considered smart in Cruz circles.
Twas just a matter of time before smarmy Ted had a reveal moment. Watch him try to walk this one back. Maybe he can blame CNN again?
As a Christian, I do forgive Sen Cruz for what he has said. But as an American, this will not help him.
Elmer Gantry is despised by just about everyone in the Senate. His conservative beliefs can't be the reason. Mike Lee and Jeff Sessions are just as conservative and they are not hated (at least I have not seen anything to disprove that). Sessions couldn't even endorse him.
He is desperate and so he joins with the establishment and Bush. OK fair enough he is doing what he can to win, even if he was against the establishment and now is with them, but I would have thought like ma and others on here would have woken up and seen who Cruz really is by now.
Another sleazy, elitist lawyer who is an elected official who will do and say anything to get elected and as for being the leader of anti Trump.
Well the guy can’t say anything anymore except don’t vote for them, they should drop out, vote for me I cant beat Trump.
Well done Cruz yet again you have shown your elitist distain for the voters, how you laugh at your hard core voters who won’t open their minds.

I have supported Senator Cruz from the beginning and have even contributed to his campaign, but he has now gone too far and I no longer believe that he is the “outsider” he claims to be. Cruz’s failure to utter a word in condemnation of Romney’s criticism of Trump when Romney couldn’t find a bad thing to say about the disaster of a president we have now; Cruz’s failure to criticize or object to GOP plans to hijack the convention; his upcoming meeting with Jeb Bush; and now his reference to Trump voters as “low information” and “not that engaged” really pisses me off - and Cruz has the audacity and arrogance to object to some of the things Trump has to say? Can honest, patriotic Americans not disagree without being insulted? Does he not recognize the significance of the fact that 60 to 70 percent of GOP voters (and many other Americans) feel betrayed by the GOP leadership with whom he now appears to be aligned?
Many things that have occurred over the course of the past few weeks lead me to believe that GOP “leaders” [emphasis added] and their liberal allies intend to do everything within their power to derail Trump’s campaign and thwart the will of the voters. I now believe that Senator Cruz is party to those plans, whatever they may be. To paraphrase Senator Sasse - another person to whose campaign I contributed in an obvious lapse of judgment (see reports on the meeting at Sea Island, GA) - “I cannot support Ted Cruz and I cannot support the ‘Mississippi’ng’ of Donald Trump.”

Ted Cruz is not a very honest person. He says stuff that is out of context half truths. This is one reason I hate politicians, very slimy. I’d rather have the f-word.

I’d say that’s true. He does well with low info voters. That doesn’t mean all of his voters are low info. It doesn’t mean he ONLY appeals to low info voters. It doesn’t mean the majority of his voters are low info.
I’d say that David Brody isn’t too sharp though.
I am leaning Cruz but after the events of the last few weeks I am beginning to rethink my support for him.

Even bigger when he consulted with his legal advisor in his bathroom mirror and concluded: “Ted, just renounce your Canadian Citizenship you have held from birth until May, 2014, and all will be well, especially among the ranks of the stupid, low information rubes in the South.”
Trump supporters are “not engaged”? That’s just stupid. Surely the guy’s seen Trump rallies. Surely the guy’s read polls. What’s the point of coming out and saying something like that? To piss Trump supporters off MORE?

He has also never proposed an H1B expansion as large as that proposed by Ted.
Yep. TPA Teddy himself wrote the Senate bill to increase the H-1B program by 500%. So it must have been an issue near and dear to his heart.
