Ted Cruz Says Donald Trump's Voters Have "relatively low information" And Are "not that engaged"
CBN News ^ | March 10, 2016 | David Brody

Posted on 03/10/2016 6:23:01 AM PST by VitacoreVision

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. “Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when voters’ get more engaged and they get more informed.” Hunch: I’m thinking Trump and his “Silent Majority” may push back on this just a bit don’t you think? Lots to unpack here but for now, here’s the clip.

Our interview was done Wednesday afternoon in Miami.

Is this Cruz’s “bitter clingers” moment?

Yes, very much so!

I actually went and watched the video of what he said. And then watch the video of what Trump said. I’m old enough to know I have to fine the truth myself.

El candidato Cruz es estupido, mucho estupido. Drudge has just picked this up. Adios, Cruz.

Nobody but a Harvard trained lawyer who's clerked for a SCOUS justice could make a giant stupid, super hubris blunder like this, and he did it while giving an interview to the Canadian Broadcasting Network. At least the Rube had the basic smarts to make gaffes like this in Spanish, not English, and not to do it while talking to a foreign network.

Heard Rubio on radio today. He regrets some of his attacks on Trump. Too little too late. That’s what he gets for being the GOP Establishment’s little, Cuban, boy whore
************************************************

He was asked many times in the beginning if he regretted those remarks and he said, no, he didn’t regret them because Trump deserved them. Now, because his gutter comments didn’t work....he regrets the remarks. HA! But, he still finishes his statement with “but Trump did deserve it because he’d done it too”. The only reason he regrets the remarks are because they didn’t work in his favor, fact.

This is worse than Obama’s “bitter clinger” moment. Obama was insulting Republican voters he didn’t need in the general election. Cruz is insulting voters he will desperately need in the general.

Very good point.

To be dismissive of a cult who defends and praises trash is no vice, so I have no problem making my thoughts completely clear to you and others like you. I don’t respect you, I question your faith, I question your motives, and I question your sanity because there’s no rational, decent person who can still think Drumpf is what you think he is. I don’t speak for the Cruz campaign or other Cruz supporters, but, if you wish, let is be known far and wide that I don’t care for Drumpf’s supporters or the people who vote for him anymore than the people who vote for Rats (probably care for you less than Rat voters). All of that would change the instant you come to your senses and realize Drumpf has been conning you.

It’s projection to call Cruz supporters acolytes. We are not. We simply believe adherence to the constitution is the way America should be governed. Cruz is the only candidate who agrees with us.

Maybe the difference is that Cruz’s both sides of the aisle donors aren’t now running for president and saying how terrible Hillary, Biden, Schumer etal are?

Just saying.

Oh, wait next you’re going to insist that Cruz should have vetted every single donor that ever supported him to make sure they are as politically pure as you?

Trump has said that, ‘lowly educated’ or similar about his voters more than a few times.

Beagle, I am just a poor “lowly educated” Trump supporter please provide me with some links to a quote that is not out of context. I have seen him say something similar to what you have said only once and it was in the context that he loved everyone who voted for him. My guess is that I have watched Trump a lot more than you have and that you have not got a clue what you are talking about. If you do... back it up with some links instead of just spreading more misinformation. You don't need "Lexus Nexus" to do that.

It was an H-1B amendment and TPA Teddy wrote it as a sop to his fat cat Wall Street donors. He only withdrew his position when Trump made it an issue.

What’s funny is you are so deep into Cruz you seem to think the GOP can unring the bell on these anti-Trump & Trump voter insults in November. The GOP is cracking up thanks to Romney, Cruz and their cheering sycophants. Good riddance.

I was insulted the moment a foreign born, Bush lackey 44 year old lawyer, first term congressman with NO executive experience announced a run for president.

Some of us considered him plausible for a while. I tried hard to like him, based on Catherine of Aragon’s touting him so highly. Just could not like him. Fell back to the second line, well, I would happily support him in the general, or if he is part of the ticket. Then, well, I’ll hold my nose.

Now...

I honestly don’t know.

Re Cruz playing the lead role in a Harvard production of The Crucible:

‘After the successful first performance, Cruz spent the cast party imbibing so much Everclear — a powerful grain alcohol — that he couldn’t make it through the next night’s performance. His fellow actors had to coax him into going onstage, but by Act III his condition worsened.

A video of the performance shows him sitting on a bench onstage, his head buried in his hands for nearly five minutes straight. After meekly delivering a line, he walked off stage in the middle of the scene, forcing cast members to improvise around the departure of a lead character. He didn’t return for the remainder of the play.’

Senator Cruz sounding like all those Liberals who go to Harvard, somewhat elitist in making such a statement.

Just recall what the late Bill Buckley in essence said, he would rather to governed by random sample of 400 people from a Boston Phone Book than the Harvard oligarchy. He was specifically referring to Harvard faculty, but Cruz was taught by said faculty, while he might not share the views overwhelmingly Harvard liberal faculty, his statements reflect an arrogant elitist attitude that we more often see with the secular and progressive left towards middle America (i.e. Fly over country).

Just when I was warming up to Senator Cruz, if he is the Republican Nominee, this is the kind of stuff that if he is will cause lots of those Trump supporters to sit out the race. Not smart politics.

Trump is the real deal. You are the one who has been misled by the worst type of Elmer Gantry style high functioning lying alcoholic. It wouldn't take more than a cursory examination of Cruz's past to confirm this. He is a master of deception.

I will repeat myself. Both of Ted's parents were alcoholics when he was growing up. His sister actually died from alcoholism and drug abuse. Ted was arrested when he was a teen for possession of a case of stolen booze. When he got into college he had a long list of problems with alcohol which was one of the reasons he made few friends. Asked recently about his use of alcohol by Anderson Cooper, he said that he was a “Scotch Man”, but extolled the virtues of whiskey and other hard liquors.

If you ever see Ted's bulbous drinker's nose without a lot of makeup smeared on it... you will see that it is full of broken corpuscles. His eyes are often watery looking and he looks a full ten years older than Marco Rubio who is actually the same age as he is. Those of us who grew up in families with a history of alcohol problems such as myself have a very easy time spotting a “high functioning” alcoholic. Ted fits the bill in every way. The number one symptom we recognize is someone who lies all the time about nearly everything even stuff that makes no difference. That is Ted.

Yep. It’s a win at all costs clear cutting campaign by the GOPe. The GOPe know the damage they are doing. They. Do. Not. Care.
