Trump: “We have a $50 billion trade deficit with Mexico. The wall will cost $10 billion. It’s not hard to figure out.”

How’s that?

Sarah carries a lot of weight with me. But since Trump arrived on the scene, I’ve wondered at what history might be between Cryz and Palin. It seems rather personal.

I’d advise him to get some work done on his schnozz and eyes for the next run in 2020. Worked for Joe Biden...

...says the low information voter who chooses candidates for the most important office based on their looks. Sheesh!

Biden might have gotten hair plugs but he's still a moron elected by morons.

That’s the point. You want the morons voting for OUR guy.
Without some of them, there’s no hope.

Even on this conservative forum I’ve seen dozens of posts referring to Cruz as odd looking. You can imagine how that is multiplied in the general population.

Very wrong. It is you who is acting ignorant or worse.

Let’s take health care as an example.

The simple truth is the federal government has no constitutional authority to be dictating our medical insurance or medical care. None. That thing called the constitution enumerates what is in the federal government’s realm of authority and everything else is expressly left to the states.

If you want to “fix” health care, get the federal government out of it. Instead Trump wants a new plan, a plan still dictated from the federal level. Remember that thing about how the 25% who “can’t pay” for their health insurance that he says the “government’s gonna pay for”? Remember that thing about how he’s going to require coverage of preexisting conditions? Well guess what, you can’t require coverage of preexisting conditions if you don’t force people to “buy” the insurance. Because if you don’t no one will buy it until the need care - and why would they. He says, after some “clarification”, he’s against the mandate but said preexisting conditions will be covered - a logical fallacy - oh but we’ll just ignore that.

The problem is you and Trump already accept as a premise the federal government’s involvement in our healthcare - and many other areas of our lives. Never mind the constitution. Just another flavor of big government top down management of our lives. It is destine to failure because it starts out on a false premise at the federal level.

Conservatives are supposed to be for smaller less intrusive government. Government that is constrained to its constitutional boundaries. Trump offers none of that.

How about YOU go and feel self-righteous in the corner over there and I’ll stay on this side, hmm?

Because if it’s an invitation, I will take a deep breath, attempt to quell my rancor, and answer as honestly as I am able.

Your welcome...this is sooo Political Incestuous. Some folks can’t see that.

Trump has ripped off the masks of the GOPe thugs, and now we know their true loyalty is to the open borders thugs not us.

It was an invitation to address the issue instead of devolving into accusations.

It was clever when I did it.

When you copy me copying him, it is no longer ironic; it’s just silly.

So there. Nyah.

Doesn’t matter how you spin it, Cruz insulted all Trump voters exactly like Obama insulted the bitter clingers.

Gov. Palin knows both Cruz and Trump. Basically no one who gets to know Cruz personally continues to like him. She may feel his recent Elmer Gantry style religious conversion is suspect, but I believe it is most likely Cruz and his family’s history with alcohol.

Both of Cruz’s parents were alcoholics when he was growing up. His sister died from alcoholism and drug abuse. Cruz has had his own well documented struggles with alcohol. He recently told Anderson Cooper that he was a “Scotch Man” before going on to extol the virtues of whiskey and other hard liquors.

Much of Cruz’s behavior and his appearance can be explained if one realizes that he is likely a high functioning alcoholic from a dysfunctional family.

I mentioned the Cruz was referring to voters who weren’t aware of Trump’s inconsistencies and you brought up Cruz’s inconsistencies. My point was that the magnitude of Trump’s position changes were much greater than Cruz’s. I understand that people can change, but it does bring into question how firm that change is and if they would change again. And yes, there is a legitimate question on any of Cruz’s changes.
