Surprise! NSA data will soon routinely be used for domestic policing that has nothing to do

What does this rule change mean for you? In short, domestic law enforcement officials now have access to huge troves of American communications, obtained without warrants, that they can use to put people in cages. FBI agents don’t need to have any “national security” related reason to plug your name, email address, phone number, or other “selector” into the NSA’s gargantuan data trove. They can simply poke around in your private information in the course of totally routine investigations. And if they find something that suggests, say, involvement in illegal drug activity, they can send that information to local or state police. That means information the NSA collects for purposes of so-called “national security” will be used by police to lock up ordinary Americans for routine crimes. And we don’t have to guess who’s going to suffer this unconstitutional indignity the most brutally. It’ll be Black, Brown, poor, immigrant, Muslim, and dissident Americans: the same people who are always targeted by law enforcement for extra “special” attention.

Illegal without a search warrant or an act of war.

Gestapo records were sifted through. Stasi records are open to the public now. The Soviet secret records were wide open for several years.

All secret spy agencies in authoritarian governments eventually have normal people walking down the halls, freely digging through every scrap of it. It might take 3 or 4 or 7 decades. But their day is coming.
Someday FBI and NSA files will be utterly exposed and looted by a mob of angry people.

Enjoy it while you can boys, this happy time isn’t forever.

[They have primary responsibility for tracking and investigating foreign agents in this country - spies and terrorists.]

Don't tell them about Barry Dunham!!!

Just remember this when you are out at midnight sticking some leftover garbage into the next door neighbors container. :-)

Just reading the first two paragraphs of this article reveals that the writer is a leftist pajamasboy paranoid weirdo who doesn’t know much about national security re NSA’s work.

If NSA were really doing its job of spying on American dissidents, then Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama would have been in jail many years ago.

They would have had Hillary’s classified information emails from her private server as well as emails to her from some unsavory people.

They would have also read Huma Abedin’s emails which should prove to be very interesting re the Moslem Brotherhood, etc.

If the NSA does nail Hillary for being a fool and traitor, then, well, I’ll forgive them for any other not-so-kosher ops, but until then, I’m willing to let them do their jobs as they see the need.

Snowden exposed that the US government was illegally spying on the American peoples private communications, and lying about it to congress. He is a national hero.

Thank god he escaped to safety to somewhere the government cant buffalo into doing anything they say.

It’s a guarantee they weren’t listening to the San Bernadino terrorists.

What is the NSA for again?

Perhaps they already know. I imagine they do.

How that information is acted upon, or when, are completely different matters.

I’ll bet they know enough about BO to curl your toes. And mine.

Here is the operative sentence from the article:

“Now the New York Times reports that National Security Agency data will be shared with other intelligence agencies like the FBI without first applying any screens for privacy.”

Will be shared with other INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES, like the FBI.

The author mistakes the nature of the FBI, and their use of National Technical Means of intelligence gathering. They can use such methods against foreign agents in this country, but can not use them as evidence in domestic criminal trials, and are not supposed to use them in domestic criminal investigations.

Every local beat cop will not have access to your cell phone records without a warrant. The author has made an mistaken assumption.

THIS is why they import people who all but DECLAR they’re terrorists:

Big Gummint advocates want JUSTIFICATION for turning the country into East Germany.

IT CAN HAPPEN HERE and it IS happening here.

Yes, it is amazing to read the old commentaries on Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelation that had to “spiritualize” or “symbolize” all these things because they couldn’t figure out how it could be done. How could everyone on Earth watch the Two Witnesses, watch them die, watch their dead bodies for three days and watch them come back to life and ascend? Now we know, and the cameras are being installed on the Temple Mount at this time.

Maranatha! Lord Jesus! Maranatha!

Yeah, IF the NSA was not working for the uniparty globalist agenda right in lockstep with Hillary, Barack, and Bush, etc. But they are.

Let the NSA do its job as they see fit? What a bootlick thing to say. Outside the country, fine. But even they now admit they spy internally. Don’t worry, they’ll keep you safe, you don’t need to know anything. Dangerous world, if we only knew what they really did, Jack Bauer, if you see something say something,,,,,/s

Yes, the actual subject of the article is worrisome; however, the moment they got to the, if I may be pardoned the reference to an old joke, “World to end tomorrow: Women and Minorities Hardest Hit” they showed once again how a lawless people are no longer really able to be concerned simply because of the principal of a thing and that be enough.

That is because this nation’s government has abandoned the very principals it was founded to uphold, along with governance by constitutional means, and so we should not be surprised to see folks needing more than that. Just as we should not be surprised when the government pushes ever farther away from the Constitution than it has been. They go hand in hand.

Yes, and they carefully protect them. That should tell you something. They aren’t about protecting us. They are not working to stop a 9/11, they are working to stop threats to government power, and nothing else.

Absolutely. TV and/or internet cameras.

Shoot, I’ve been looking at Temple Mount still cameras that update for nearly 20 years now. As I recall, they had access to a real-time camera (looking at the Western Wall).
