If Israel does not take steps to separate from the Palestinians, Jews will continue to be killed in terror attacks and the two-state solution will be in danger, opposition leader Isaac Herzog told US Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday.
Biden met with Herzog before concluding his three-day trip to Israel in a conversation that focused on the current wave of terror and on Biden's impressions on the Palestinian issue based on his talks with leaders during his visit. The US vice president's trip saw him meet both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas separately. Biden traveled to Jordan on Thursday after concluding his visit in Israel.
Herzog presented his initiative on separating from the Palestinians to Biden, saying that "only separation will bring a halt to terror."
The opposition leader told Biden that his plan is intended to stop the wave of lone wolf terror and preserve the vision of two states for two peoples, "the only vision that will preserve Israel as a Jewish, secure and democratic state."
Herzog's plan calls for completing the security fence around settlement blocs. Arab neighborhoods in Jerusalem would be outside the fence.
Herzog told Labor Party activists at a convention in Tel Aviv last month that his plan would "end the third Intifada" and lead to a regional summit on security.

As long as one plus one equals two, he is right. Trump needs to understand this as well. There is NO equivalency here. The Arab/Muslims are the persecutors of Israel just as their original ancestor Ishmael was the persecutor of Israel’s father Issac.

Buji is right — if the Jews don’t separate from the Arabs, the Arabs will continue to kill Jews and try to destroy Israel. However, what he left out is that if the Jews DO separate from the Arabs, the Arabs will also continue to kill Jews and try to destroy Israel. I think the Jews do a better job of protecting themselves if they can control the places from which the attacks come.

Sure there are Arab citizens of Israel. They are not trying to remove them ("cleanse them") right now. But effectively the creation of Israel did result in lots of people being "cleansed" out of the area where Israel sits today. And, to be fair at the same time even more Jews were "cleansed" out of surrounding countries.
So, I'm not sure tha Jews are that concerned with ethnic cleansing. And I think that's probably a realistic thing for them.
Yugoslavia was beset with ethnic civil war throughout the 1990s, until mutual "ethnic-cleansings" were completed. Now it's a much more peaceful place. It's like sending the boys to their own rooms after a fight. Each group has it's own room in Yugoslavia now. The idea that the old Yugoslavia should have been held together with multicultural integration of everyone everywhere is a stupid idea.
I believe if a two state solution is arrived at Arab Israeli's will be encouraged to move there. The Jews are quite aware that they have a future problem with the Arab minority and their birthrates.

BTW, there is no two state solution. There can be no peace for anyone trying to coexist with muslims, least of all, Pali’s and Jews.
Just out of curiosity, what would be a better plan for California, for instance? Is something similar warrented there to maintain the traditional ethnica majority of the state in that role? It was a white state in a white nation as recently as 1980, before the massive influx of immigrants, illegal aliens and others. Today whites are a minority there, as they will be in much of America in the near future. Would American whites be justified in taking the same type of draconian steps that you advocate for Israel?
