I thought so. I said in another thread that I would not hold my breath for Ted Cruz to condemn any of his surrogates, because he has not condemned any of the outrageous things his right-hand man, Glenn Beck, has said about Trump. And I also said that I would not be surprised if Cruz considers tonight’s spectacle and cancellation of the rally, an intervention by God Himself to help him get elected. I’m telling you, I’ve known these kinds of “kingdom now” “believers” and there zealotry to help God fulfill a perceived prophecy, can make utter fools out of them. Anyway, Ted Cruz knows that Donald Trump had nothing to do with this uprising and yet he continues to attack him without cause. This man is really disgusting.

Does Cruz think he’s going to GAIN or LOSE Republican voters? And does he really think that DEM voters are going to pick him over Trump or Hillary because he’s blaming Trump?

Have you admonished Cruz for teaming up with the mentally ill Glen Beck when he wanted to stab Trump ?

Cruz blamed Obama.

Just saw the clip one time.

He blamed Obama.

He blamed the protestors.

He then said that Trump campaign also bears some responsibility.

Will have to watch the clip again.

Trump said that once. Have you heard Trump at his rallies and press conferences since then? He addressed it specifically at his press conference following the recent big day of primaries when he was disrupted by protesters. He responded by calmly asking for the people to be removed.

One line is hardly responsible for a well-orchestrated protest in Chicago no less. (Former Chicagoan here, so I know the city and the UIC location well).

I don’t agree with Glenn Beck’s statement and I’ve said so on this forum. I’m not happy that Glenn is in the limelight with Ted Cruz, but CRUZ is a decent and good candidate. A true conservative that has been crucified along with his supporters on ever turn of the road.
I’m 74 and never seen a election like this one....I think this statement tonight is being built WAY OUT OF PROPORTION....

I’m a litmus test voter. I only vote for pro life candidates.

Trump is and always has been pro abortion. Anyone who votes for him has blood on their hands.

“ I’ll pay for your legal fees if you punch someone..””I feel like punching him.”

He said that to his supporters and before tonight. He did not promise to pay for moveon . org’s legal fees for punching someone. The anti-republican mob is the one throwing punches and destroying cars, not the Trump supporters.

When was the last time you ever seen republicans protesting violently a political rally and vandalizing cars? When?

He keeps saying 65% don’t want Trump but ignores that 75% don’t want Cruz. He says he beats Trump in 8 states but ignores Trump beat him in 13 states.

Cruz loses Evangelicals to Trump. And he’s going to beat a Dem in the general? LOL.

[It truly saddens me. I still consider Trump far too liberal for my liking but Cruz blamed The candidate for how the crowd acts. Sad day for me.]

Cruz blamed Trump for the type of environment he has created at his events.

I remember when we were angry about Obama telling his supporters to “get in their faces” and “don’t being a knife to a gun fight” etc. We were mad about it. MIT is the same thing, IMO.

People have posted links to video and audio and media sources multiple times on this thread.

Cruz said it multiple times. He said it on the radio, he said it in a press conference.

Own it.

This worm has turned.

Thanks everyone for responding to my original question. My wife and I were pretty disappointed by what he said. It really makes no sense. La Raza, Islamists and BLM are protesting for a number of reasons, none of which that Trump fosters violence at his rallies.

It wasn’t his supporters that were committing violence. It was extreme leftist groups.

Here’s a video of Cruz’s speech:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmxBp4IFe_I

Sure sounded to me like he was blaming Trump. Otherwise who is “the candidate” to which he is referring?
