“I think all Cruz was saying was that if you create an environment that your supporters feel it is OK to commit violent acts, like the guy who cold cocked that BLM protester, then you share some of the responsibility. Seems pretty straightforward to me.”

Straightforward for organized lefist-anarchists to shut down free speech events? Where have we seen that before?

And the real beauty of it is that Trump cancelled to avoid really bad things from happening by the leftist-anarchists who have been organizing this violence for weeks via social media, while the anarchists are crowing that they shut down a free-speech event, which isn’t going to go over too well with many people in this country. Seems to me Trump came out smelling like a rose and the anarchists came out smelling like poop.

Cruz sunk his own ship with this:

“Ted Cruz said violent protests are “the predictable consequence” of the atmosphere Trump’s campaign has created, while Bernie Sanders had his own strong words for the Republican presidential candidate. “

So it now appears Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders are two peas in a pod. Who woulda thunk it?

This Chicago Atrocity by leftist-anarchists will make Trump President!

“If you encourage people to punch your opponents in the face then you hold some responsibility when they do.”

So, you’re just fine with organized lefist-anarchists to shut down free speech events after organizing to do this via social media for weeks? Where have we seen that before?

And Cruz and Rubio, supposed Star Conservatives, are on the record as being for these leftist, gutter tactics against the leading Republican Presidential candidate.

The GOP can’t go the way of the Whig Party fast enough. And take your “boys”with you.

To be sure Cruz is not blaming the Trump for the Chicago thuggery. Cruz is correct pointing out that Trump rallies have been punctuated by violence that is either tacitly or expressly encouraged by Trump. Such as go get ‘em.

"Political discourse should occur in this country, without the threat of violence"

What a horrible thing to say! Cruz is a sleaze! I'm not voting for him!(/s)

I'm not hearing what Trump's people are trying to twist Cruz's statement into. Seemed reasonable to me.

But once again Trumpets are screaming blasphemy-and declaring Cruz to be finished.

Something is very off about this whole thing.

Protesters were the usual left wing suspects- but it also was being reported all day in local MSM ,that they were going to show up in large numbers looking for trouble. Weird.

I know that people support Trump because they see him as some kind of heroic person, who has selflessly stepped up to save us from the globalists-But I'm just not getting that vibe from him at all.

It mostly has to do with his ties to the Clintons, and other leftists.

I realize people have problems with Cruz too.

But I trust Cruz more than I trust Trump. It really comes down to that.

After Cruz loses both Florida and Ohio there is no way in hell he can get the nomination by winning states. Trump can lose Ohio and still he’ll still be fine if he takes Florida. Then he’s gonna win those open primary states and he’s gonna win big in the the Northeast. Cruz has no shot at winning anywhere. He might take Missouri, but I doubt it.

Your posts are all completely missing the context of Trump's "punch in the face" comment.   He was making that comment after a protester/nut in the large crowd began protesting, then began flailing around, punching all those people in the crowd right around him, in every direction.

Now, picture yourself there for a minute, and just say (for instance) that you had your wife and kids there, and some nutball protester started flailing around punching everyone there, including your wife and kids.   Would it be appropriate for you to use necessary force to stop him from hitting them, and discourage him from trying it again, including possibly punching him in the nose?

Watch this clip for yourself, so you can see the context of that Trump comment, which was fully justified, and did not play a part in BLM's decision to try to disrupt his speech.   (BLM has also disrupted a Bernie Sanders rally, and a Hillary Clinton rally, and neither of them had said anything about punching anyone in the face in any of their speeches.)

Here, watch the clip:

Donald Trump on protester (who was crazily flailing about, violent punching random people in the crowd) - 'I'd like to punch him in the face'

“Ted Cruz said violent protests are “the predictable consequence” of the atmosphere Trump’s campaign has created”

Heidi Cruz was on CSPAN tonight saying no candidate was talking about illegal immigration before her husband, no one was talking about Common Core and the need to get rid of it. No candidate was talking about Americans that have been left behind and feel they have no where to turn. She said no one was talking about building a wall before Ted mentioned it! Moral of the story. She’s as damn crazy as her crazy, lying husband. She could have been reading off Donald Trump position papers.

No I’m not “fine with it”.

But there’s a right way and a wrong way to do things.

You can remove people without encouraging your supporters to get into brawls with them.

Trump has paid security to handle this stuff properly.
