When Giffords was shot, we were driving out of the Walmart parking lot headed home. It came on the radio as we left the parking lot. I said, “I wonder how long it will take them to blame it on the Tea Party.” It’s a 20-minute drive, and we never made it home before someone being interviewed blamed it on the Tea Party.
