Politics aint beanbag. Donald deserved the shot. He's has taken his share of fair and unfair shots at others.

You all need to quit the whining and tell the truth. Cruz put the blame on the protests actions Friday night on the PROTESTORS. HE blamed the tone on Trump

Cruz did what Barack does when he says a few obligatory words about radical islam and then immediately goes into his "before we get on our high horse, don't forget the atrocities of Christianity" ... and from there onto other attacks on Christians or whatever Republicans he is talking about, or whatever conservative policy.

You can admire Cruz' Obamian traits, I don't.

Wednesday, October 21, 2015 David Swindle -This is Part III of a three-part debate on whether homosexuality is compatible with conservatism.

Mr. Swindle accuses me of calling Andrew Breitbart “gay.” Well, I had good reason to believe Andrew Breitbart was going “full gay.” Apparently, so did Philadelphia magazine. In fact, Andrew Breitbart had to trot out his “correction Alpaca” to make clear to the world that he is not a homosexual. What does it matter Breitbart? Are you a "homophobe?" Democratic Party officials have also mistaken Andrew Breitbart for a homosexual.

Why all the fuss about Andrew Breitbart?
For starters Andrew Breitbart joined the Executive Board of an openly homosexual organization. He takes photos like this, which suggest he seeks to French kiss another man, and this, standing behind I sign which reads “Proud Gay…” Andrew Breitbart also organized a “Big Gay Eighties Dance Party” to make a mockery of CPAC. How can Mr. Swindle criticize me for making such an honest mistake?

Further, Andrew Breitbart, Greg Gutfeld, and Tammy Bruce have been accusing opponents of homosexual behavior of engaging in it themselves for months. How can Breitbart act as though he is offended when someone makes an honest mistake about him, especially after he called my Facebook photo sitting with my surfboard a “Blue Boy Test Shot?”

= = = = = =

I found this photo and it linked to this article: is that Gutfeld with Andrew?

You honestly believe ‘tone’ set off Occupy NY, Occupy Wall Street, MoveOn.Org, the anarchists, the communists and the Bernie Sanders brigade? Rush doesn’t believe that - he’s made it clear there is only one victim and one perp.

I listened to Rush when I could. I now read about what he says on Facebook and on his site.

Obviously you’ve been to many rodeos and stepped in a lot of poop which is still clinging to you.

You keep saying I’ll be gone when Cruz loses and you also think he will be out on Tuesday.

Can’t you even wait until Wednesday to see if I’m still here or not?

Rush's response to that caller caused me to turn Rush off. I've been a daily listener since the late 80s. It's on in my office when I'm working. I record it when I'm out of the office. I catch up when I go on a run. I have often been amazed that Rush and I agree on everything. It's not that he says something and then I agree with him. He sometimes talks about an issue I haven't heard about, but more often than not, I have already read the story, and listen to Rush to marvel at how he recognizes the best way to frame the viewpoint.

But he and I have been drifting apart with respect to Ted Cruz. I was probably for Ted 2016 long before Rush ever thought of Ted. I was a big backer of Ted in 2012. The more I read about him, the more I thought we needed him in 2016. But I knew that the establishment would fight him tooth and nail, and had little hope of him succeeding. My best hope was that he would get some very wealthy backer, like Reagan had with his California financial backers, and be able to fund a campaign that allowed him to get his message out. But after supporting the conservative in 1996, 2000, 2008 and 2012 and getting aced out by the way the GOPe sets up the nomination process, I wasn't very optimistic.

For years, I've been screaming about amnesty, because I have seen what illegal aliens taking over and voting in California has done to this state. I know what would happen to the rest of the country if the establishment's push for amnesty ever came to fruition. It, to me is issue number one. The rest of them pale in comparison, because you give amnesty, and none of the other issues can ever come out our way ever again. We ease into a leftist tyranny.

Along comes Trump. He is not a conservative in the sense that you list 30 issues and go down the list and determine that the person has the "right" position. But he is right on immigration, moreso than even Cruz, who has vacillated on what he would do with those who are already here. Trump said he would build a damn wall, and send them all back. If they want to come back, they would have to apply. Guess what? We, the people get to determine which ones can come back. Congress controls immigration policy, and if we win big, are they going to let poor, illiterate illegals back in to take our construction jobs? Or will that only be to cover those who have money, have been here 25 years, maybe own a home? I contend the latter.

So, he has the most important issue down better than anyone. Then add in that he quickly added some great positions on taxes, trade, Muslim immigration, 2nd amendment, common core. It's a great start. Yes, I still love Ted Cruz, but I also know at the end of the process, he is likely to be aced out just like every conservative I and all the Freepers have supported over the past 20 years, 6 elections.

Initially, then, I was hopeful that Cruz and Trump would find a way to work together. As the campaign began, and after the early debates, I began to have some concerns about Cruz. Not as much his positions, but his ability to lead, to inspire crowds. Trump was doing that. Reminiscent of Reagan. Cruz, on the other hand, his demeanor and speechifying was a little stilted, formal. I understand his language, but I began to worry that he wouldn't be able to connect with the voters and ever catch fire. At that point, I began thinking that it made more sense for Trump to run and win this election, and I hoped that he would work with Cruz and maybe he would even pick him for VP.

As time has gone on, and especially after Cruz began his lame attacks on Trump, I have become less and less enamored of Cruz. I despaired that they would not be able to work together after the falling out. As Cruz became even more aggressive, I began to actually dislike Cruz. He was being unnecessarily nasty. If you are Cruz, to me, Trump is not the enemy. You are both anti-establishment (or so I thought), and should be the two allied. But that's not what has happened.

Instead, Cruz has thrown in with the establishment. It was a little bit at first. With the Neil Bush addition, it became obvious and very worrisome. Then, after he blamed Trump for the Chicago protests, and for the attack the following day, I had had it. He has lost me, probably for good. Some of the things that have been coming out against him regarding his establishment ties, from his wife at Goldman, to his TPP and TPA support, are also very troubling. I am no longer able to discount that he may not be sincere, that he may be part of the establishment at heart. The establishment, to me, is a global cartel that doesn't care about America as an idea or American citizens as individuals. If he throws in with them, he is an enemy, not someone I can support. Maybe Sessions knew what he was doing.

So, that is my evolution on Trump and Cruz in a nutshell. Today, when the caller wanted to talk about Cruz's ties to the establishment, he was barely able to get out Goldman Sachs, and Rush shut him down immediately, then spun it as about the loan. I have a feeling he was going to talk about Cruz's wife, and then talk about the other items that show Cruz has thrown in with the establishment, and Rush made sure, under no circumstances was that going to get out to his audience. This forum, pro and anti Cruz, know the litany about that and can decide accordingly, but God forbid that Rush let his listeners know what this guy was about to say.

And there he crossed a line into propaganda, to me. He is clearly all in on Cruz, while hedging his bets on Trump by not openly going after him like Kasich or Rubio, but at the same time, twisting arguments against him, spinning or concealing. Today, with this caller, enough was enough. It's a shame. Rush can support who he wants, but I would prefer that he be honest enough to say what he is doing, and not become a spinmeister like the guys he usually criticizes.

I hear Laura Ingraham is having some interesting discussions. I'll have to check it out.

I guess you can call this a Rush opus.

That’s a good summation of the alleged assault.

Now with all of the video evidence that has surfaced contradicting her story let’s see if Michelle Fields goes ahead with her criminal complaint.

This could blow up on the little cabal who are pushing this story. I imagine that she will be allowed to drop it without comment, but it sure would be sweet to see her charged with filing a false complaint.

He never called Hillary a friend, nice try. It’s called business. Plain and simple. Trump shut Hillary down when she attacked him re; women and he brought up Bill’s affairs. Nobody, even Cruz, would go after Bill. Trump has also called her a liar, and said he would make sure she is prosecuted. Again, GOPe’s would never do that.

You silly Goose, to Trump EVERYTHING is negotiable. If he wins he'll come out and say it isn't worth the division to our country and lets her walk. BANK on it.

“It’s all shouting blame and adulation for Trump.

That’s why you are called cultists.”

Trump supporters spend all our time on FR challenging you Cruzer’s insane comments.

Ok here’s why I will vote for Trump.
1. He is an incredibly successful business man, he knows more about what is needed to create jobs. Cruz is the typical lawyer/politician. A booming economy will care many problems.

2. Trump is the only candidate who will deal with the Dems with his unabashed no PC, so called bully tactics.

And speaking of cultists what candidate has a national radio supporter who claimed that God took justice Scalia so Cruz could be elected and also asked his followers to fast for Ted? Talk about cultist.

Zombies stick together ... they walk in a horde.

Why would I come here and try to post reason to 30 people who haven’t seen reason in months?

I do it because one person might see the truth and not nominate the man who has the worst rating among the public ever held by any politician.

He has earned that rating and you have helped him.

What are you gonna do when you get Howdy Doody nominated.

Are you gonna come crawling to us begging us to help Howdy?

After you’ve lied about us and insulted us?

Dream on, people. You are electing Hillary.

With his record on most issues wavering from one side to the other over the years, how do you know this?

Nobody can ever really "know", can they? I base my trust of Donald Trump on my own judgment, my familiarity with the man himself over many years, the policies he has espoused, and also the many trustworthy and staunchly conservative people who have thrown their support behind him: Jeff Sessions, Sarah Palin, Ben Carson, and many others.

Jeff Sessions' and Sarah Palin's conservative credentials, specifically, are impeccable.

So, taking the situation as a whole, and also seeing the naked opportunism which the 3 stooges engaged in on Friday night, my preference couldn't be more clear.

The people who simply want to dismiss Donald Trump as a "con-man" or a "huckster" are the ones who are incorrect. Donald Trump has been well respected as a businessman and private citizen for many decades, and I find it very hard to believe that he'd endure all of these vicious attacks and hatred, if he was insincere and just acting on a whim.

Ross Perot was similarly sincere back in the day, IMHO.

I sincerely believe that Donald Trump will pour every ounce of his energy into being a good President, and in shaking the Washington Establishment of both parties to their very cores.

At this point in American history, nothing is more important than obliterating the Washington status quo. Nothing.

‘Cruz spoke exactly 16 words about the protestors. The rest of his statement was hitting Trump.’

It’s a page out of Obama’s playbook. If you’ve ever seen him in a situation where he HAD to criticize Muslims you know what I mean. He gets a one sentence, obligatory and starkly bloodless comment out of the way, and then he goes to work on the REAL object of his hatred: generally the US, but sometimes the West in general and sometimes Christianity. Obama’s short, dispassionate criticisms of Muslims never ring true. When he criticizes the US, though, his heart is in in; he’s fully engaged.

This was Cruz getting the obligatory jab at the anti-American rioters out of the way, so he could go to work on his real villain: Trump, for exercising his right to free speech.

Exactly, do you know what Cruz would have done if he truly was who he pretends to be - he would have went on and on about the Founders, liberty, the preeminence of freedom speech and all sorts of historical narratives. He once said about Trump if you want to make America great again, you need to know what made America great in the first place ... looks like Uncle Ted forgot. He is, after all, the Consistent Principled Pure Conservative. Just a hack. Just a hack.

Judge Jeanine on Fox did a 5-star takedown about this whole thing.
