Two more staffers resign from Breitbart
Politico ^ | 03/14/16 | HADAS GOLD

Two more staffers for Breitbart have resigned from the company, citing the website's pro-Donald Trump stance.

National security correspondent Jordan Schachtel and associate editor Jarrett Stepman sent their resignations to management on Monday afternoon.

"The company no longer resembles the ideals that inspired me to start writing for them three years ago. Some of us have been fighting behind the scenes against the party-line Trump propaganda for some time, but without any success, unfortunately," Schachtel said in a statement. "Breitbart News is no longer a journalistic enterprise, but instead, in my opinion, something resembling an unaffiliated media Super PAC for the Trump campaign. I signed my contract to work as a journalist, not as a member of the Donald J. Trump for President media network. As recent events have proven, there is no longer a point in trying to reform the company from within, so I must step aside with my dignity intact. I wish everyone at Breitbart the best, and hope the site can redeem the legacy of its founder under much-needed new management."

It’s only coincidence that all of those resigning, are in agreement that Trump should never be mentioned by anyone at Breitbart in any kind of flattering or positive way.

Not one of them would be resigning if the site was like NRO.

Not one.

And calling out Breitbart.com on your way out the door for being “bullies” , seems dishonest considering not one of them went on record until they resigned, to complain about BB.com.

When this is your pinned tweet after the alternate video has already been shared, then your problem isn't with Trump, it is with the liar.

3 Jews and Michelle Fields. Is there something to this?

Seriously?

Add one more to your list of facts:

Shapiro’s father was also employed by Breitbart - but he wrote under a pseudonym to “protect” himself from people who didn’t like his son, and might go after the father.

Or viewed another way: He got his father a paid gig and didn’t want anyone to know Dad was on the same payroll at Breitbart, sucking up $ doing a job that a non-related person might have done.

She says she was “violated” and that “aside from my father’s death, this is the worst experience I’ve gone through”

Seems like everything in DC is crony. It would be interesting to know the name Ben's father wrote under, might be enlightening to see what his world view was.

So, it’s okay for some of them to fight against Donald but not okay for anyone to fight for Donald. And he doesn’t see the hypocrisy.

Doesn't it even occur to you that perhaps something exists outside of your 'for or against' world?

And he doesn’t see the hypocrisy.

Apparently neither do you.

Rush today said that even if Trump wins all 5 states NC, Il, Fl, MO, OH the race is anything but over and Cruz can come roaring back. I wonder if Rush is all in for Cruz.

Rush is for conservatism, tempered by GOP-e friendships, *some* influence from Roger Ailes, and the desire for the GOP contest to remain heatedly competitive for some time in order to contribute to ratings...

I tend to agree. Rush wants to milk this for all the ratings he can get even if his ideas sound truly odd.

The whole Fields/Shapiro scam failed

Morning Joe did not mention this scam at least first hour, Rush never mentioned it either. The media got their sound byte and accomplished a weekend of GOPe attacks on Trump, now the story is dead having served the intended purpose. No apologies will be forthcoming.

William Bigelow was his byline.

Pollak wrote a sassy insulting parting shot at Shapiro & published it this morning, under Shapiro’s Dad’s byline.

It’s been deleted, but not before other sites caught it.

I actually laughed out loud in reading how Ben gets SO MANY DEATH THREATS, his dad had to write using a pseudonym ! Of course it’s not cronyism! The fact they disclosed it to embarrass him was irrelevant.

Because there are no anti-Trump echo chambers who excoriate those who don’t excoriate Trump, correct?

I'd rather talk to a Trumpster than a fellow Cruzer. I've expressed admiration for some of the things Trump has said and how he says them. I'll say up front that I won't vote for Trump and why. I can understand if some can't ever support Cruz on principle. It bothers me when if seems like oposition is emotional, personal or tribal. I don't want any FReepers purged for supporting Trump.

If Trump wins I'll try to judge him fairly. I'll praise what I think is good and criticize what I think is bad.

Jabin Botsford was asked about his video, and first denied he’d even been at the event—then admitted he was there, but saw nothing! He only recorded video.

Has anyone asked him directly whether he has more video than he released? Or Audio?

I wonder if Rush is all in for Cruz.

Why do you wonder? If you are a Rush listener you should know. It wasn't long ago that Cruzers were dumping on Rush for being all in for Trump, he was never on the Trump bandwagon but he has gone full bore for Cruz lately in a desperate attempt to sideline Trump. I have listened to the guy for 26 years.

Upon seeing a close-up of Michelle Fields' facial expression, I rescind my preliminary assessment (based on the video which debunked her claims of being forced to the floor), that she is "kind of cute."

She has the annoying smirk of the auto-anointed.
