It was one of the tea partys few highlights in Tuesdays congressional primaries. But laying claim to former GOP House speaker John Boehners old seat (in all likelihood) is a big one, both for the bragging rights and the momentum it gives House conservatives in their ongoing fight to purify their party ideologically.
Warren Davidson, a businessman and former Army Ranger, won a 15-way Republican primary Tuesday in the special election for Ohios 8th Congressional District. The tea party candidate rather easily bested more moderate candidates, including two state lawmakers, in a campaign that quickly became ground zero for the partys ongoing identity struggle in the House that Boehner used to run.

Ding! Ding! Ding!
We have a winner!
A 15 way race. Sounds like the Republican Presidential primary at the start. Me thinks the GOPe likes to lard up these races with a boatload of candidates to try and fracture the opposition. Didn't work with Jeb(!) and it didn't work with this race.
Excellent news. When the time comes I need to send money to Warren.
“Kelly Ayotte and Renee Elmers come to mind.”
True enough but we need to keep trying.

Toilet seat, maybe.
Great news.
Both of them hardly waited until after the oath was taken to turn coat.

Mom, dad and daughter are ALL orange people. They must own their own spray tan machine.

Talk about a big F-U to daddy. The Weeping Boner couldn’t get his own daughter not to marry a low-class, drug-dealing Cat-in-the-Hat loser, yet he thought he was man enough to handle being Speaker of the House and standing up to Zero. If Boner’s son-in-law had gotten close to one of Zero’s daughters, you’d have soon found his corpse floating in the Anacostia River.
