With Ohio Gov. John Kasich having won his state’s GOP presidential primary, the national Republican Party is setting up the narrative that its future now depends on Kasich.

In a press release, Kasich campaign chief strategist John Weaver said with Kasich winning Ohio – the only state he has won thus far – the primary race is a “whole new ballgame.”

Kasich is going to get a lot of positive media coverage. And a lot of campaign contributions.

This can only hurt Cruz. I fail to see how it hurts Trump.

Cruz has almost no chance in a one-on-one against Trump in the remaining states, but if you throw in the delusional governor of Ohio, Cruz is almost assured to win close to nothing. Maybe Utah.

I wonder if Kasich is angling for a job from Trump.

Kasich is now nothing more than a Trump surrogate meant to bleed support away from Trump’s only competition.

Is that really what the GOPe establishment wants? Because that is exactly what it is going to get if they encourage this troll to continue his asinine campaign.

Hahaha they’re still in denial that it’s Cruz or nothing. Trump isn’t going to go down to Kasich. There’s no Plan C.

Exactly. Cruz has to be somewhere saying, WTH? And he burned his bridge with Trump.

Kasich just needs 110% of remaining delegates to win this thing.

He will get no votes.
No delegates.
No states.

He hasn’t been vetted yet. Let him stand on the stage with Cruz at the debate Monday and get crucified.

He’s a nasty man with a bad temper and Cruz can easily antagonize him out of it without really trying.

Good Lord, there isn’t enough coffee in the world to keep the American people awake when Kasich does one of his stemwinders.

Aren’t the primaries half over? Kasich only won like one out of about 25 states.

They are delusional. Seriously.

Say whatever you will about Rinio, at least he had the good graces to pull out.

There IS no GOP establishment party future. They have succeeded in embalming themselves and there is no amount of cajoling, pandering, wheedling, maneuvering, subterfuge, attack or money that will save them.

My advice to them. Those DC denizens that still believe in God and country? Leave that place - your belongings, your dachas, your limos, parking spots and your country club memberships - and WALK out on your two feet. Repent! and do NOT look back lest you be turned to a pillar of salt. You are warned.

It’s not who votes that counts. It’s who counts the votes that wins.
