Also a Cruz supporter and I haven’t given up yet.
Not sure how many of the population are either old enough or have cracked open a history book to know how US political conventions beyond the last couple decades could sometimes go.
Does not have to be rule breaking or shenanigans for the end of primary front runner to not be the nominee.

Trump to victory over Hillary!

“Make America Great Again” sounds just about right to me.

Yeah Ted Cruz who sided with George Soros group Move On and Black Lives Matter attack on Trump in Chicago is the “Real” conservative.

Yeah the very same Ted Cruz that could have ran for Canadian Prime Minister up til 2014. Even strict Conversationalist say the Constitution does not define “natural born”. Yeah that’s “real” conservative for a Cruz to the “Constitutionalist” that ignores this inconvenient fact.

The same Ted Cruz that worked with the Establishment/Globalist W. Bush along with his wife, but never mentions it? Gee I wonder why??? How come Jeb never mentioned??? Yeah “REALLLLL” conservative!

The same Ted Cruz that was for the rigged trade agreement TPP that erodes our National Sovereignty before he was against it.... This is the same Ted Cruz that voted for the TPA, “the fast track”, that makes it easier to pass Obamatrade. Yeah “REAL” conservative.

Remember it was HIS WIFE that gave us the RIGGED TRADE DEALS China where the U.S. pays 20, 30 and 40% Tariffs and China pays NOTHING to us!!!!! Oh and rig their currency too. Oh but that’s okay right?????? Yeah that’s REAL CONSERVATIVE........NOT!!!!

We did not have any these RIGGED TRADE AGREEMENTS before 1996, and we were a Super Power and led the world in many things.

Then you have Ted Cruz who wants AMNESTY for illegal Aliens for via a tiny fine that will never be enforced. Oh but that’s conservative right? Rewarding law breakers? What kind of message does that send for the immigrants that are playing by the rules?

Ted Cruz is for the H1-B that incentive companies to fire their American workers here and replace them with cheaper foreign workers. Yeah that’s real conservative.

It was Ted’s Cruz wife that helped made the case for was in Iraq behind the scenes. This is even though Saudi Arabia has 15 of the 19 hijackers. What about the 28 pages that say Saudi Arabia at MINIMUM QB September 11th, 2001. Oh yeah Cruz is “real” conservative and not a Trojan Bush hack.

Finally, the Establishment is openly saying they will VOID THE VOTES in the Primaries because they don’t like the results. In other words the Primaries is meaningless dog and pony show to pretend you have a choice. If Cruz is really not with the Establishment why does he stay in and helps the Establishment/Globalist/Uniparty? Because Ted Cruz is one of them, and you are still falling for it hook, line and sinker.

Rest assured Trump will cut DEALS with the DC establishment should he be elected President.

That is exactly his appeal.

The current crop of GOP stalwarts, ever since Reagan, talked tough but accomplished nothing, received nothing, and lost on all fronts.

Even while gaining landslide victories.

Trump will deal with the left: and in doing so, will bring back actual things of value to conservatives.

Which is better then going all Weepy Boehner (or Ryan, or Mitch McCuckold) and saying through a mouthful of Obama-pollen, "well, they're all *moral* victories" while delivering precisely nothing.

Trump fights! If that bothers you go somewhere else. BTW - I still like Cruz but Trump is the man for the moment. They should make peace and destroy the estAblishment.

Yes, all the great constitutional conservative leaders are ignoring the serious constitutional Cruz eligibility issue staring them in the face. What could possibly go wrong?

I agree to that. Ah, but that has nothing to do with his conserrrrrvative policies. Damn straight.  There are many other things beyond ideology that are important like competence, management experience, ability to win the general election etc.

The biggest lie of this campaign season is the meme that "Trump is not conservative": he's actually a stronger conservative that Cruz on some big issues, especially controlling illegal immigration.

I will bet that 98% of your responses will be three single syllabic responses,

You are incorrect, as usual, troll-boy.

The word "yourself" is TWO syllables, not one. :-)

Basically people view politics now as one of those buttons on an elevator. People keep pounding on it and the elevator doesn’t come, and stops at 17 other floors on the way to you...as it is supposed to.

Thus, the game is rigged, and the only way to truly shake everything up is to put someone in there who will just walk into the fancy party in their swimsuit with a keg and 300 partiers and see what happens to all the fancy things.

Will it be good? Will it be bad? Is Trump really outside the game?

The thing is, when you have all the libs and all the establishment, and all the billionaires and all the euros freaking out.....someone is very scared of the breaking of the snow globe we all live in.

People voting for Trump are hoping he breaks the snowglobe. It really is that simple. The talk of rollbacks and fixing.....that is about 3 decades too late.

Bad things usually happen to people outside the snowglobe.

4 months ago, it was the Cruz supporters who were doing all of the bashing, and juvenile name calling.

A lot of people finally got tired of taking it and started dishing it back.

Yeah that is exactly what we need, more career politicians and lawyers running this country. The Founding Fathers called for Citizen-Politicians, meaning they didn’t base their entire life in politics.

Let’s face it. A vote for Cruz is a vote for Hillary. Cruzers are proven to be losers.

...I judge candidates by who supports or attacks them for their stances on issues.

Actually, it's a very sound way of reasoning.

A Free Republic that promotes populism over conservative principles is doomed,

I am amazed every day how the Teddy Bares continue this meme about how their "conservative" is so special.

Guess what? Teddy Bare is a slimy smarmy lying lawyer that will represent anybody paying him. He is no true conservative. He is an opportunist and a liar. His principles stop at the bank (probably the one his wife works for!).

What "principled conservative" would represent a Communist Chinese company against an America owned company? What "principled conservative" would represent a drug company accused by a group of hospitals of price-gouging? Why, it's Teddy Bare, the opportunistic lying lawyer guy! He is a fraud!

While at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, Cruz represented Pfizer in a lawsuit brought by a group of public hospitals and community health centers who accused the drug manufacturer of overcharging. The Supreme Court eventually threw the case out. Shandong Linglong Rubber Company was found guilty of marketing versions of tires that were based on blueprints stolen by a former employee of a Florida businessman and ordered to pay $26 million to the Floridian. Cruz worked on the Chinese company's appellant brief. The appeals court denied the appeal and affirmed the jury's award. Cruz represented drug manufacturer B. Braun Medical Inc. in front of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit after the company was found guilty of wrongfully discharging a former employee. Cruz asserted that she had failed to prove that B. Braun had directed her to violate the law and that she had not presented sufficient evidence that her refusal to violate the law was why she had been fired. The appeals court rejected Cruz's argument and affirmed the $880,000 award. Cruz represented Toyota in an appeal to the Texas Supreme Court in an statute of limitations case, where a judge wanted to investigate Toyota for contempt after a former Toyota in-house lawyer accused Toyota of unlawfully withholding documents in a product liability case. Cruz unsuccessfully argued the judge's jurisdiction expired thirty days after the case was dismissed following an out-of-court settlement ... -wiki

he messenger must be liked FIRST before the message persuades.

I think your analysis is good but I am not sure "like" hits the target exactly. I think I got trump the first time I heard him - he takes a person and pushes him around a bit to see if he can be broken to see what he is made of. And most of them have broken - e.g. Megyn and little Marco.

I know what he is up to. I agree with where he is headed. Interesting - Yes. Sympatico? Perhaps. Like? I don't know that I like him - but I don't think that matters.

If the American people weren’t out there voting for Donald Trump over Ted Cruz, you’d have nothing to post about.

I'm thinking the same thing. I voted for Cruz in the primary, but if Trump wins it fair and square, and no games are played at the Repub convention, so be it, and he'll have my vote. As far as Trump's shortcomings (there is no perfect candidate) remember when Bill Clinton's "indescretions" leaked out and Hilary was frantically trying to control those "bimbo eruptions". The mantra of Clinton's supporters was "I'm voting for a President NOT the Pope!"/

RE: The hate I see on Free Republic for Ted Cruz, Mark Levin and all the other great conservative leaders remind me of liberal websites. It is disgusting.

FR is a conservative forum where conservatives are now in the minority. The FR population are now a majority populist nationalists who will gladly trade away conservatism for power.

I don’t know what the future of FR is, but I have deep concerns.
