What makes people from California think their research would apply in places like North Dakota, Montana or Wyoming, for instance? Different culture, especially in the cities.

Hang out in gun free zones like the peaceful and bucolic cities of Detroit, Chicago, and DC and ask young black men why they are killing other young black men.
Or even cheaper. Just listen to rap music. It’s not a secret. “Disraspect me you get a cap in yo azz.”
How about doing an HONEST assessment of gun violence, and making the true facts known? For instance, if a certain demographic and age group are responsible for X% of the gun crime, SAY SO! And when using the word “children”, does that include teenage and 20 year old gang bangers?
When you say “gun crime” are you including violations of laws that are infringements upon second amendment rights, by carrying without begging permission from Lord and Master?

There are already multiple government sources of crime data which cover “gun violence”. Apparently what they want is a UC-based center on gun *propaganda*.
