Booting all undocumented immigrants could cost at least $400 billion, conservative group says
The Columbus Dispatch ^ | March 20, 2016 | Encarnacion Pyle

"The economic and human costs would be tremendous," said Douglas Holtz-Eakin, the conservative research group's president and an adviser to John McCain during his 2008 presidential campaign.
.
.
.
Last August, Politico, with help from experts at groups spanning the political spectrum, rang up the costs to carry out the key provisions of Trump's immigration plan, including mass deportation, tripling the number of immigration officers and walling off the southern border, at $166 billion at the low end.

You don’t have to deport them. Just stop giving them free stuff. They’ll know what to do.

It actually wouldn’t surprise me if these loons were able to spend that kind of money for the act of driving an individual out of the country, but we need other people to do it. Smarter ones.

Much easier to just do away with the Anchor Baby Rule, then make it that you have to be a US Citizen or Green Card holder to work in the US, to get any type of government subsidy such as welfare or health care or putting illegal immigrant children in any public school.

Do that and within a year or so, most of the 30 million or so law breakers will leave the county of their own accord.

$400b div 11 million is $37k/head. Did they think no one could do that simple math? They take us all for fools. Build the wall, let ICE do its job, enforce the employment laws. Won’t cost anything like that. End sanctuary cities, stop the benefits and we’ll turn a profit first year. Empty the prisons were in the black in8 days.

It’s not true, they will self deport for free.

Stop them from getting jobs and renting places to live.

That'll work. They can call pickups headed south the "Santa Anna convoy"

The key is to enforce laws against illegals getting employment or welfare. They will then self-deport.

Well anybody can guess at how much it will cost.
They don't, however, know how much it will cost.

And waaaaay down at the bottom we read, and know, this...

Illegal immigration costs U.S. taxpayers about $113 billion a year at the federal, state and local level, he said, with the bulk of the cost absorbed by state and local governments. Tax collections from undocumented immigrants fall short of the costs and are misleading as an offset, he added, because over time unemployed and underemployed U.S. workers would replace undocumented workers.

That plus deporting all illegals on their release from prison. Out of the cell and out of the country.

If the man of the family is deported, families will follow.

That sounds harsh, but the financial burden of illegal dependent care... education, health care, etc. is crushing.

Also, prevent them from registering their anchor babies in public schools; in my area they often live in illegal apartments, working for cash (while receiving freebies), and burden the dwindling pool of American taxpayers with their upkeep.

School costs in NJ, which have been a target for years because of high teachers salaries and unfunded retirement benefits, are even more in focus now because so few of the students in this huge industry/drain of resources are American.
