like when your ruler (and presumably you) justify denying people the right to free speech and peaceful assembly (Trump and his supporters).

This is the kind of garbage from Trump supporters that illustrates my point. Cruz is not my ruler. Cruz stands firmly for free speech and blames the rioters for their actions. He also held Trump accountable for his statements about violence. You obviously have no such standards when it comes to your idol.

Perhaps they are real, but they are not heavily attended. And again we have paid his salary for a year for not doing Senate work that he was elected too. Tax payers are getting the short end of the stick on this one when he can’t even win a state a month at least. Oh well. He gets a free vacation on the tax payers. What a rip.

"We need to learn to have disagreements without being disagreeable. To have disagreements while respecting human beings on the other side. Earlier today over thirty people were arrested at one rally. And then tonight, as violence broke out, the rally was canceled all together. Now, the responsibility for that lies with protesters who took violence into their own hands. But in any campaign responsibility starts at the top. Any candidate who is responsible for the culture of the campaign. And when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discourse."

Fork-tongued political doublespeak. "It's the protesters' fault, but it's really Trumps fault, Trump's fault, Trump's fault."

Maybe Trump is negotiating with the GOPe today. From strength. He’s setting terms.

I’m down with that. I’d love to be a fly on the wall.

Free 1 year vacation. Must be nice. Get paid for running around the country seeing the sites. Most Americans could only dream of a 6 figure salary for a year doing nothing.

We will have to see how the primaries play out. You are certainly free to your opinion.:-)

With your theory, Trump will not reach 1237 either. As of today Trump still needs to win 57% (I think)of all delegates. This will increase to 65 or 70% if Cruz does well in the coming primaries. I suppose then you will agree that Cruz should stay in, correct?

Seems to me that the GOPe is turning to Cruz. I do not believe he would change his principles or positions for them.

What are you talking about? He already has...

The Ted Cruz I thought I knew wouldn't play the race card, wouldn't make the weak and opportunistic speech he made in the aftermath of the Chicago Trump rally, and wouldn't hire somebody like Neil Bush for his finance team...

Calling supporters Rabid?

Not paying attention, are you? I was responding to a post where I was called a rabid Cruz supporter. It is also not a fact to call me delusional- it is an insult. I am firmly rooted in reality and my conservative principles. Good-bye.

So you have a double standard. Trump/GOPe is good, Cruz/GOPe is bad.

One year ago this week, Ted Cruz

One year ago Ted Cruz was well liked here. Now the personality cult of a reality TV star has made him public enemy #1. All I can do is sadly shake my head.

It is a fact that Ted Cruz is in bed with the establishment, who was referring to you? Next time don’t take things so personal, which I guess is hard to do when you are patrolling the thread to respond to anything negative about Cruz.

The math is very simple—Cruz wins Arizona or he is done.

So if Trump wins AZ he is the nominee?

Perhaps the huge number of fickle FReepers will warm up to Ted again when edges out Trump for the nomination!

No.

I don’t. I want Trump to set terms.

GOPe are fops. They will kill before they give up power.

We unengaged low information voters? Arrogance, is not a pretty picture on any face. Especially those Bible thumping critters, that claim they hold the keys to conservatism...
