Ted Cruz attacked Donald Trump’s character for threatening his wife on Tuesday and blamed his opponent's attack on “a very bad night” in Utah.
“If Donald wants to get in a character fight he's better off sticking with me, because Heidi is way out of his league,” Cruz said on CNN’s “New Day,” responding to a late-night tweet from Trump warning, "Be careful, Lyin' Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!”
The attack reveals a lot about Trump's character, Cruz said. "That should be beneath Donald," he said. "The reason he's doing that is because he had a very bad night last night. He got clobbered in Utah."
Trump’s tweet — which began with “Lyin' Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad" — is an apparent reference to an online ad by anti-Trump super PAC Make America Awesome, which used a photo of Trump’s wife Melania posing nude in British GQ in 2000 in an attempt to sway conservative Mormon voters.
Cruz responded via Twitter shortly after: "Pic of your wife not from us. Donald, if you try to attack Heidi, you're more of a coward than I thought. #classless.”
On CNN, host Chris Cuomo asked the Texas senator if engaging with Trump was a good idea.
"The tweet he was unhappy about was not even a super PAC supporting me. It is an independent group. I don’t know them,” Cruz said. "When Donald gets scared, when he gets angry, when he gets threatened ... So last night Donald threatened my wife, he went directly after my wife."
Cruz also ratcheted up his pressure on John Kasich, who fared poorly in Tuesday's contests, to get out of the race, repeatedly calling the Ohio governor a “spoiler.”

Trump has uncontrollable PAC’s that like him as a candidate. Maybe will see a commercial soon about a headcase on the side of the road.

Cruz could well have denounced the Melania anti-Trump ad (yes, it did mention vote for Cruz) but, alas, he did not.......

DT called McConnell and Ryan the other day. They had a nice chat about the protesters, I think. I can’t imagine DT saying McConnell is a liar.
I was 50/50 between Cruz and Trump but this latest ad by the Cruz people has changed that. Too much sleaze coming from the Cruz campaign. No real rejection from Cruz. All I hear is it wasn’t Cruz and he has no control over the PAC.

Saying Cruz had nothing to do with it is not the issue. Cruz should condemn that type of ad,,or shut up about his wife becoming a target. If Cruz is ok with a candidate’s wife being smeared, then his wife is fair game.
I cannot paint you a clearer picture than that.
Even if a pac ran the ad, Cruz had to know it was running and he didn’t stand up and say it was off limits. He let it go because it played to the moral, multi wife, Mormon crowd.

Desperation and irrational flailing attacks aren’t going to work. It just increases the divide between the delegate count for the two possible candidates - one very quickly approaching mathematical impossibility.
It is idiocy to assume that falling farther behind in delegate count is somehow ‘winning’. There’s someone else in stardom who used that word. See how that turned out?

Cruz, besides being a liar, is a coward. He hides behind PACs and surrogates Glenn Beck and Mark Levin. He teams with Bush family, Mitt Romney and Lindsey Gram. He is embedded with anti-American NWO globalist GOPe.

No worries. I am certain that Hillary has Heidi’s dossier and if the time comes she will have the appropriate minions leak it to the whores in the press two weeks before the election as per the playbook. Rove and company had to spend a lot this election cycle to help the Clinton crime family try and get the White House again. He gets paid either way. I still have a Rush hat signed by Rove from about twenty years ago. Think I’ll burn it tonight on a bonfire. Our lives are just a chessboard for the elites and their political operatives.
I never knew any woman who felt so desperate over something that she went and sat almost in traffic and police picked her up. Guess whatever happened to her was really so bad she didn’t feel safe at home.
