I’m confused about this. Didn’t Melania pose for these pics knowing they would be public? Is she now ashamed of them? Or is she proud of, or comfortable with, them? If she is ashamed, and wishes to move on, then pacs should respect that. Otherwise, it’s just feigned outrage.

Cruz tried to bait Trump with having others do his dirty work. When Trump and his family defended Melania, Cruz comes out with a phony statement. It backfired. Now Mrs. Cruz is fair game.

Be careful what you wish for. Heidi Cruz has some embarrassing, and politically relevant, associations.

Melania is not a Heidi Cruz. She has not been part of the campaign, she has no political views that she is advancing. Yet, she was pulled into this mud because Cruz knew it would create negativity among the Mormons.

That is the slime of it and why it should have been renounced by Cruz. If he prefers to have this campaign decided at the level of personal history and past actions of spouses, that's fine. I am sure Melania and Trump are both proud of the picture. It's Ted's unseemly use of it, which in itself infers there is something immoral about it, that is "classless" as Messiah Ted would say.
