People have asked why that PAC would give money to Fiorina. I think the answer is because at the time she was making attacks on Trump. It is an anti-Trump PAC, and it will support anti-Trump people.

But that is not to say it is pro-Cruz. That may be the effect, but it is not necessarily the case.

I think this PAC has done incalculable damage to CRUZ, since they had to know that everyone would blame Cruz for it without waiting for the evidence.

If anything, CRUZ would likely have killed the ad if ever given the chance.

I think a better case is made that an inference could not be made in light of the damage to Cruz.

After all, who knows?

What you say is true. It would cause someone to hide the evidence.

But like the prosecution of Hillary, there needs to be a showing of that evidence.

I know in politics, people draw inferences and don’t wait for the evidence like in a court of law. But people’s lives are at stake here, and I think that if we are going to spread potentially slanderous statements about anyone, public figure or not, we need to treat everyone as though it was a family member.

I don’t think Cruz controlled that PAC, because look at the shit storm it has brought down upon him. I also don’t think Trump put National Enquirer up to it either.

But either could be true.

We need to allow cooler heads to prevail.

This hurts us all.

If you could take 2 min and watch this vid from the Cavuto show, I would like to know what you think about it. It is Andrea Mcwilliams, a big time Cruz supporter and big time Austin lobbyist. This was on March 8th, and I believe she was telegraphing to any PACs supporting Cruz's run, that they needed to focus on Melania. She is very very clear about that, almost startlingly so ... It gets Cruz through all the legal hoops and gets the campaign's desires out there ... This is one of the ways they do it.

They may not, though. Everyone who contemplates a suit for slander or libel must know that in order to win the suit, you must bring even more public exposure incident to the suit. They are done on a public stage.

Most people do not bring libel suits for that reason.

The Gawker verdict by Hulk Hogan was an exception, but it would have been very hard for him to testify about that case.

The problem for Cruz supporters is that their guy has presented himself to the world as a major Christian. So when he falls, he falls much harder and quicker than an ordinary sinful man.

Personally, I enjoyed that ad of Melania and think it probably gained him a few votes. I don’t dislike nudity. I took many a life art class as a youth.

Don't throw in the towel. Part of this all is an attempt to demoralize Trump supporters. Hang in there. Keep absorbing information because you never know when it will come in hand, most of all, though, don't give in to the hypocrisy and speciousness. There is a vid on youtube showing the similarities between signs used in NYC and London. This is quite the struggle and everyone is needed on the battlefield. Take a break, then come back fresh, strong and kicking ass!!

The first half of the equation of why someone might support Donald Trump makes a lot of sense.
Whether it’s a fear of increasing terrorism, a failed banking system in 2008 or the loss of a job,
many Americans are feeling the pain of the Obama years in one way or another.

Pat in Ohio was no exception.

He lost everything in the crash of 2008 and that’s where he was coming from.
“He was terrified,” Glenn said.
“And he was so beaten down, and he was, you know, ‘I lost everything in the crash of 2008. I’m afraid.
This guy is going to take care of us.’
Then we went through all the things that he strongly disagrees with Donald Trump on and he kept saying, ‘Yeah, but.'”

What is it that can make us so blind to logic that we shrug and say, “Yeah, but?”

The Door of Disconnect
When pushed into a place of pain or fear, people tend to act emotionally rather than rationally — and that’s where the disconnect happens.

“The door of disconnect is the door between left brain and right brain,” Glenn said.
“Your reason is leading you to a place of such fear that you close a door and you say, ‘I’m not going there.’
And you find somebody that is talking to your passion and saying to you, ‘I will take care of you.’
And you put all of your support there.”

The fascinating thing is how this leads some people to defend people or ideas they would otherwise have no part of.

Defending the Indefensible
We have all been there, whether we are trying to talk sense into someone or on defense.
You might even know you are wrong — but in the moment, it doesn’t matter.
For some reason, you shut down and do what feels safe.

“You bar that door of intellectual facts and intellectual arguments and you say, ‘I’m not going there.
This guy is going to save us.
You’re wrong.’
And you attack the person who is trying to come to you with facts,” Glenn said.
“So there’s no way to win with facts.
There’s no way to break that door down.”

Common Sense Bottom Line
This is all well and good, but what now?
We have diagnosed the problem, but is there a way to change the dynamic?
