The National Enquirer just dropped a bombshell on the Cruz campaign and the internet exploded overnight. Reports claim investigators found Ted Cruz allegedly had an affair with five different women. UPDATE #1: Ted Cruz Denies Affair. UPDATE #2: Trump Responds.
According to the Enquirer:
“Private detectives are digging into at least five affairs Ted Cruz supposedly had,” claimed a Washington insider. “The leaked details are an attempt to destroy what’s left of his White House campaign!” The ENQUIRER reports that Cruz’s claimed mistresses include a foxy political consultant and a high-placed D.C. attorney!
The publication did not name names and only printed pixelated photos. Internet users on Twitter, Reddit and 4chan quickly went to work to determine the identity of all five women while using the hashtag #CruzSexScandal.

I think there’s room to make that sort of argument.
Unfortunately it seems people are coming out now saying they knew of this before.
If the trend continues, the National Enquirer will have done a public service, even if I hate seeing this sort of end for the Cruz campaign.
I don’t want to see his kids have to deal with this.
That “90210” reboot was a real disappointment.
Shannen wasn’t cute anymore.
The “Melrose Place” one was even worse.
However, Cruz’s response is poor — blaming Trump, angry at Trump ... if it were baseless, I’d mock the NE and compare the story to bat-boy or some other tripe. Twitter has not been a tool to elevate the campaign this year, that’s for sure.
I'm sure Cruz did think it was Trump that broke the story but what would Trump gain? Trump was already on track to get the needed 1237 and he knew Cruz wasn't.
Cruz probably never suspected that the GOPe crowd might be behind this story so yes, his response wasn't well thought out.
Makes me wonder if GOPe wants Hillary to win. She’d be more likely to keep the status quo that lines their pockets.

What has Melania got to do with anything. She’s not seeking power in any way.
Sure she was a model. Men like to see models and so do women. Men enjoy the beauty and the women like to compare.
I don’t think that makes her anything other than a model.
She conducts herself in a very respectable way now. I’ve seen her in several interviews and she was just great.
When people addressed Heidi, it was because of CFR and Goldman Sachs relationships. Those are important connections. They are political in nature. The CFR is a big globalist think tank. It’s been on my radar for thirty years.
Rush is hardly “toast”.

I don’t think they would have run a story like this unless they had the evidence to back it up. they were right about John Edwards. And hillary Clinton’s time is coming.
FR isn’t the only thing it seems you’re addicted to.

Just because a magazine doesn’t always get it right, it doesn’t mean it is wrong now.
It’s sounding more and more like it was right.
Again, I don’t like it. I wish Cruz had bowed out last week. He didn’t. Here we are.
If it’s true, he is going to be seen as having used very poor judgement.
Again, if the Enquirer is wrong, then it used very poor judgment.
I’m no advocating this be handled unfairly to Ted or his family.
I will be angry at the Enquirer if it is shown to have printed this without just cause.
This is not a gotcha joke to me. Ted doesn’t deserve this, if it’s not true, and I would defend him in that case.
Right now all I can do is wait and see. It isn’t looking good right now.
I can’t stand Cruz, but I hate this kind of stuff being put out by the “media” without hard facts to back it up.

I tried to sell an idea the other day. I took a little heat over it, because folks thought I was being self-serving.
Honestly, sure it was a bit self-serving because I favor Trump. None the less, it was actually good advice to Cruz and Kasich also. It was all about image.
I wonder how many folks think I was wrong now.

I didn’t say we had to trust it.
I said it doesn’t mean it is wrong now.
We know that this will play out over the next few days, and within a week, we’ll know the truth of it.
I also said that if the NE has acted improperly here, I would back Cruz fully on this issue.
Trying to caste me as a person who doesn’t care if this is true or not, just so it’s hurts Cruz, is dishonest.
That’s not the case I made at all, and my posts make that crystal clear.
