Ted Cruz sex scandal story leaked to National Enquirer by Marco Rubio “ally,” not Donald Trump

Maybe Donald Trump isn’t behind the Ted Cruz “sex scandal” story leak to the National Enquirer after all.

According to The Daily Beast, “for months and months, anti-Cruz operatives have pitched a variety of #CruzSexScandal stories to a host of prominent national publications.”

One such outlet was Breitbart News, which was shown “a compilation video of Cruz and a woman other than his wife coming out of the Capitol Grille restaurant and a hotel on Tuesdays and Thursdays,” a source inside the publication told The Daily Beast. (Leave it to a politician to keep a standardized booty call schedule.)

The Breibart source confirmed that they’d received the video from “a Rubio ally,” but ultimately decided against running the story because, “There was no way to verify the claims.”

GOPe didn't spring it, the Enquirer did. The GOPe isn't as powerful as some Freepers think it is. Once you plant a rumor there's no telling when it will break out, or if it ever will.

Enquirer was the vehicle to spread the story but not the source. Breitbart is on record noting Trump team was not shopping the story but rather the Rubio camp. And that lapdod does noting without his master's approval

That seems to be the Cruz strategy towards Trump. He knows this story was shopped months ago by Rubio's associates, but Cruz blames Trump.

I support Trump because

• he is by far the best qualified to deal with the issues America is facing right now.
• He's the only candidate to point to the trade deals as the cause of the loss of industries. He's the only candidate with experience at managing large organizations or managing other executives.
• And he's plenty conservative when you look at other issues.
• And he is really the only candidate who is demonstrating true leadership qualities in this election.

Unlike Ted that ran against gay marriage and then promised NY gays in a fund raiser that he wouldn’t make it a priority. And now we know why. Ted has more skeletons than a Día de Muertos celebration.

Little Marco is a lightweight in every respect. He screwed up. None of this is part of well thought out plan, it's the fallout from just one plan in a whole series of ever shifting plans that failed.

You’d have to get Carson to explain what Carson meant. I don’t know what Carson meant. It’s really vague. What does Carson think Trump said that was outrageous? It could be anything from vaccines to Carly’s face.
