Former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura were satisfied with their service at a restaurant last week — so much so the they took a photo with the waitress and left her a hearty $40 tip on the measly $21.47 bill.
But for some reason, their server, Leisa Smith, decided to pay them back by sharing the snap with a tasteless 9/11 caption directed at Bush on her Twitter page.
“Bush did 911 but he did me a solid and left me a hella tip #” Smith wrote in the now deleted tweet containing a photo of her, George W. and Laura at the restaurant, the location of which is unknown.

Waitress apologised, said it was an inside joke among circle of friends who make fun of Truthers, and that she doesn't seriously blame him for 9/11.
Never mentions that the Bushes were rude to her, treated her with contempt, didn’t pay their bill. Just another low educated liberal knowing that this is her last shot at fame is to belittle her customers. Next stop, the soup kitchen. Don’t know if it in line waiting to be fed or feeding the homeless.

As I left I’d tell her I was leaving her 40 bucks with the homeless guy down the street.

Just a joke among friends. She didn’t expect it to make the news. But it’s yet another warning to be very careful how you use the social media. Indeed, that’s why I’ve never signed up for Facebook, Twitter, or any of the others.

She said this was a joke, certainly everyone here has heard worse jokes about Bush. She has apologized and I don’t see any reason to doubt her sincerity. She’s young and doesn’t look like a liberal moonbat, if she was she probably wouldn’t be working. This must be a slow news day if something like this makes headlines...Much to do about nothing...

I don’t think her friends were liberal. If the article is correct, then they were in the habit of making fun of Truthers. That must have been how she explained it to the reporter when he asked her.
