lorida police have charged Donald Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski with simple assault in connection with an incident earlier in the month involving a reporter.
Police in Jupiter, Florida issued Lewandowski a notice Tuesday to appear before a judge on May 4 for the misdemeanor charge. A surveillance video released by the police appears to show Lewandowski grabbing a reporter for Breitbart News as she tried to ask Trump a question during a March 8 campaign event.
The police report states: "Lewandowski grabbed (Michelle) Fields' left arm with his right hand causing her to turn and step back." Fields showed police her left forearm which "appeared to show a grabbing-type injury," according to the investigating officer.

Lewandowski said that he didn’t know Fields and in fact had never met her. So why would he remember her? She was just one more body crowding Trump as they were leaving the event.
The high angle video shows that he didn’t even look at her as he moved her out of the way- or “assaulted” her according to Fields. Lewandowski needs to get the video interviews that Fields made immediately afterwards admitted as evidence.

I’m not sure it could be proven that he had his hands gripped on her at all. Seems to me he slipped between people while making his way to Trump.
It could have been his forearm stuck out in the way a man does while squeezing through a crowd.
It should be an embarrassment to Florida that someone was able to bring this charge. And I was looking at the police video that they released.
Did he grab her by her upper arm? That’s what it looks like to me in the video.
But the image she posted of the bruises are on her lower arm. Interesting.
If you grab your own forearm, the pointy finger would be on the left, as indicated in this pic where the bigger bruise is. The smaller bruise would be on the right where the pinkie finger would be. From what I have seen and read, the SS guy grabbed Fields’ forearm. Can anyone tell from the pics if the grab from the SS guy would be such that the pattern would be like shown in the pic, or the opposite because of how the SS guy grabbed her?

I am not a Trump supporter but this is silly. The threats of law suits stops people from behaving in a sane manner. Corey Lawandowski should have issued an apology for grabbing her arm, and that should have been the end of it. Instead we have all this craziness.

They should sue
It is when there is now a secret service witness to refute Michelle’s account of what happened. If we are going to apply her version of assault she assaulted Trump first and Corey was moving to protect Trump.
Corey isn’t Secret Service.
He’s a campaign weenie.
I looked at the police video and I don’t think it can be proven that he used his hands at all. It looks to me like he sticks out his arm as he’s slipping between people.
I did not say he was. Fields assaulted Trump first and twice according to secret service witnesses. End of issue.
I'll repeat my statement: That interpretation of the video is a stretch.
The charges are a stretch.
It is not uncommon for someone to press charges that are not supported by the evidence. Simply touching someone as you pass through a crowd is not assault. A minor stumble is not evidence of assault.
I'm not a Trump guy. I don't have a stake in this incident. I just don't see the grounds for assault in the video's I have seem.
Leave Heidi alone, please. I’ll bet there are some nasty moments now between the two.

Hmmmm, not with journalists, but I've used my body to block someone's access to another individual in a crowd. That can be accomplished with NO HANDS involved.
And yeah, if I grabbed some little girl and jerked her around, I would remember that. Guess that has something to do with my upraising.
