You have a point, the Pussy Riot comments are certainly damning against Cruz (although, to be fair, Trump criticizing Pamela Geller over Draw Muhammad Day is also pretty damning... thankfully, he has unapologetically and uncompromisingly been anti-Muslim since the Paris attacks).

It’s entirely possible that Cruz, from the beginning, had a plan B of betraying conservatives the instant it became clear he wasn’t going to get the presidency in 2016. The thing which makes Cruz especially stupid is that he would have almost certainly won the nomination in 2020 or 2024 if he didn’t completely shaft conservatives and instead graciously accepted that he will come in second.

Well we’ll have to disagree Quigley.....I am one that it’s not over til it’s over...and I certainly wouldn’t agree that Cruz is costing us the election.

As much as I understand why and how Trump has come this far, and as much the same of his supporters....I will not get on the Trump train. If and when there’s a Convention , and it looks like it’s headed that way....then we’ll see what’s determined. But for now there are still delegates to get, and those to bargain with....the race isn’t over and we do not have a winner yet.

And what will replace it?......You leave it void and you can with certainty know something else will fill that void...and may very well be worse than what we have now.

...”If Cruz does the almost impossible and gets 1237, millions of Trump voters will leave anyway”....

Sensible ones will remain....those who came out of the gutters for the ride will go back to their dark places.

“He could start by not doing things like hiring Neil Bush onto his campaign staff.”

Yea that did kinda suck. Not much been floating
around about that lately either. Reagan had a Bush for
VP. He was forced to let that liberal RINO ride in on
his coattails and weasel his way into the presidency,
but, it didn’t stop Reagan from being a conservative.

So ... we’re supposed to pledge to vote for the nominee, but the Almighty Trump is not?

Is that it?

That sort of post is typical of Trump supporters.

Asinine insults to Ted Cruz ... it never gets old, does it?

Every day that Cruz remains a candidate it helps Hillary. Every one of those days Trump has to fight Cruz instead of Hillary.

At this point Cruz is just a spoiler without a chance of winning the nomination, let alone the presidency.

It just never gets old, does it, Trumpers.

You can’t defend your crazy guy so you resort mindless insults to Ted Cruz.

I’ve been saying this for a long time.

Trump has passed his prime. He’s said and done too many stupid things. He cannot win.

Are we in self-destruct mode? Really? Do we want Hillary or Bernie to ruin our country.

I wish the trumpers would come to their senses and support Ted Cruz.

He can beat Hillary easily.

That is ridiculous but you love it, don’t you.

Cruz is a proven conservative who went against the establishment in the Senate.

He also stood by his principles in Iowa by not backing Ethanol subsidies and still won Iowa.

Trump caved to the Ethanols and he will cave to the democrats and the establishment. He’s already tried to mend fences with the so-called GOPe.

How can you still trust this flim flam man?

“...the risk that we will bolt is very, very high.”

Sure is. If the establishment tries to steal this thing, I’m gone for good. At the same time, I’ll be voting for Trump on whatever party label he runs on.

He can’t win the nomination outright, so he plans to steal it in the convention.

allying with Ryan/Preibus/the rest of the GOP-e demanding a liberal agenda be pushed, he cannot be said to be conservative.

...ah, so your brilliant advice is the second best candidate should DISAVOW endorsements from other Republicans?? Great advice!! You should go into political consulting..

beam me up Scotty, there is no intelligent life in the tRumpary...
