I have no idea why people think that the scenario in this article is some kind of trick. If there weren’t some process in place to free delegates from their “binding” at some point, then you’d just have round after round of voting with the same results. That would be pointless.

That is why every voter should know who the candidates for committee, either state or local, and the delegates (for example in Pennsylvania, where no affiliation is listed by the delegates name), support, so they can ensure that the representatives they elect will support the people and causes they do.
