Ted Cruz Dies Politically With "New York Values" Rants. (Vanity)

Posted on 04/08/2016 7:24:26 AM PDT by JLAGRAYFOX

Ted Cruz has shot himself in the foot big time with his ill thought out ranting about hating New Yorkers. It's the same kind of rant that someone would make about "Red Necks" in any southern state, ill advised and unacceptable. The Cruz verbage is proof that Cruz will do or say anything true or untrue to gain power and control. He is really not-too-bright-in-th brain-department. He is far from Presidential material!!!

For goodness sake....the fool, Ted Cruz, has no clue as to how he is being used by the GOP Establishment for "their" purposes, not his. Does anyone really think & believe that Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush, John McCain, Lindsey Graham could support Ted Cruz in a POTUS run?....no way!!!

This hateful uttering of condemning an entire state and all its citizens will cause Cruz to lose massively in New York State....but, worse, it will cause the loss of the entire Northeast, including Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware, etc. Cruz should have engaged his brain, before opening his hateful mouth.

Support & vote for Donald j. Trump!!! GO DONALD TRUMP!!!

“low interest bank loans”

You’re really not sharp are you? If you take a loan from your brokerage secured with your stock portfolio, of course it’s going to be low interest, that doesn’t mean anyone is “trying to influence you”.

New York Republicans generally hate “New York Values” more than the rest of us, because they are most directly affected by them.

“elected by the Manhattan elite”

That’s a mighty fine trick, a tiny minority of the population someone convincing everyone else not to vote so that they can pick all the politicians.

His clarification that he wasn’t degrading the state as much as the states “liberal” values will do wonders for him in CA.

His name is becoming a verb synonymous with failure.

What I fail to understand is why Cruzers think the delegates will band together and nominate a second place candidate with less electability than the first place candidate...And don’t give me those BS “Cruz will beat Hillary and Trump can’t!" polls

I understand and share your skepticism about some polls, but you're asking us to ignore a near unanimity of all polls, from dozens of organizations, that all show Cruz's solid advantage over Trump in a head-to-head match up against Hillary.

As counter evidence, Trumpers offer only the strong feels that they are feeling and feel everybody should be feeling because Trump. Sorry, but that's weak. Cruz is both far more conservative and far more electable than Trump.

TRUMP: Born, raised and helped build New York, American....

CRUZ: Born Canadian, Alberta, resides in Texas, Canadian...

And Trump may be mathematically eliminated by California. Will you call for him to drop out then?

Yeah ... I call on all the candidates to drop out when they are mathematically eliminated from getting 1237.

For Kasich, that time has already passed.
For Cruz, that will be on the night of April 19 in NY.

Do you think he will drop out? No, he won't ... because he is a flaming hypocrite in calling for Kasich to drop out for exactly the same reason.

It takes real chutzpah to reverse the will of the voters and still call yourself a conservative ... well good luck with that Senator Cruz.

I disagree conservatism can win...... but Ted Cruz is duplicitous fake

and it also depends on what strains of conservatism you’re offering....

Reagan conservatism at its heart was nationalistic and populist..... if I was to call it anything I call it John Wayne conservatism

so just as the nation faces different challenges at different times conservatism needs to fit offer different solutions at different times

our battle now is not like in the 1980s with the Soviet Union and Soviet communist expansionism

our battle now and this point in time.... is with International globalism and the loss of sovereignty of this nation ....

of being swallowed up and destroyed by illegal immigration and unfair trade.... Trump is highlighting those problems

The GOPe and Ted Cruz are being lackeys to the business interest that are destroying this country and wrapping in a flavor doctrinaire conservatism that has some of the worst of domestic libertarianism ... and International interventionism

Libertarians in theory are pure opens borders pure open trade and if it just happens to destroy the country so be it

the international interventionism wanting us to constantly try and be Nation Builders around the world again breaking our back on that

.... that’s not founding fathers constitutionalism....

at the time of the founding... tariffs on trade common tools of the founding fathers and they were quite against International intervention “ Washington= “beware foreign entanglements”

“The faux outrage from Trumpsters on “New York Values” is hilarious. “

What is “hilarious” is that you “Cruzsters” are to damn stupid to understand why you actually got people that found the remark, REGARDLESS OF HOW YOU DEMAND THEY INTERPRET IT, to be off-putting and ham-handed.

But instead of trying to make amends for what should be a misunderstanding, you all just double-down on it to try to puff yourselves up as some rootin-tootin cowboy badasses that will show those homos in NYC what’s up.

Oh well. Your loss.

The thing is, the rest of the country understands his reference. When you have the GOVERNOR of NY publically declaring that “anyone who is Pro-Life or he doesn’t support same sex marriage is not welcome in NY” you can see exactly what NY Values are.

I understood his reference but one cannot speak negatively about another state, region etc without their being some consequences. I tak affront when I here someone state more southerners are less educated, more overweight, etc. it may be true but when it is stated as a put down I take offense. The fact Cruz stated it as a put down turned off people in NY and the region. Texans hate “Yankee” put downs just as much. Cruz should have moved on rather than doubling down. He has that in common with Trump.

You're really not sharp, are you?

Some would describe my intellect as above average. Did Cruz hand over his stock portfolio as collateral for the loan? Did he "forget" to reveal the loan? Can't recall I ever had such a memory lapse.

And why is someone on leave from Goldman Sachs on his campaign staff? And why is Neil Bush, of all people, on his campaign staff? It's all just a little bit too cozy for my tastes. But what do I know? I do not meet your high expectations for sharpness.

If only Teddy and the Cruzers had such a penchant for fair play and staying out of the quagmire which has immersed his high-sounding principles.

“Ted Cruz sticks foot in mouth with New York hate rants & does himself in, politically!!!”

Only to a fanatical Trump supporter would using the phrase “New York Values” mean that they hate NY. Its an absurd distortion and a LIE. I guess we should start calling you Lying JLA.

But if Trump hasn't won outright by the convention
WHY SHOULD CRUZ DROP OUT???

Is is "because...Trump!"? There is NO reason for Cruz to drop out unless Trump gets 1237 before Cleveland. Kaisich on the other hand hasn't won 8 states and -> is ineligible based on rule 40 at the convention.

Yes, very true. Don’t forget the brilliant speaker and lawyer Slick Teddy also referred to Trump supporters as low educated and low information, yet he made this spectacularly idiotic comment. It’s OK, Canada Ted, the elitist punk eater of boogers is in good company with the likes of Mitt 47% and Barry bible thumpers and guns. Sheep prefer Cruz.

Because your post is indeed vanity: “the quality of being worthless or futile.”

There is nothing off-putting to ANY conservative when liberals and liberal values are being attacked.

But do continue your whining and fake tears in defense of Cuomo, De Blasio, Clinton, Rangel, Spitzer, King, et al. It is fun to watch.
