I have a personal creed of honor: I don’t get into a battle of wits with an unarmed man. Bye.

Naturalization is a form of citizenship that can ONLY be conferred after birth.

"Naturalization" refers to a form of citizenship created by a statute.

He is, if hes the Nom, hes the easiest for Dem dirty tricks to take out in the October Surprise. One liberal federal Judge grants an injunction on Cruz and the locked up USSC lets it stand. She runs unopposed....

Yes they would. Otherwise they would have put it in the Constitutionext. They were quite familiar with the concept. At that time the fathers citizenship was enough. Later changes to the law made it mother or father.

Just so you know on the off chance Cruz were to get the nomination the Democrat party will immediately challenge him. They will say his documents are not in order and if he can’t prove he’s a bonafide US citizen they can and will get him tossed off the ballot. If Trump tries to put Cruz on as VP I expect the same thing to happen.

You are right of course, but you neglect to mention that the “little bastard offspring” would first need to be elected.

That's not so far-fetched, the illegitimates Obama and Clinton got elected.

>> Can you imagine if Trump had sealed records of any kind? <<

No, cannot imagine it. Absolutely impossible. Absurd even to contemplate. Never happen. Move along. Nothing to see here.

Oh, wait . . . . Did somebody mention income tax returns? No, it must be my imagination.

Maybe not, unless they have one of those Internet addresses from Macedonia or Russia.

Ridiculous but par for the course. Under audit is not the same as sealed.

Well, I’d have to surmise that it really depends on what the meaning of “is” is. But have it your way.

A passport also serves as documentation of citizenship, and Cruz has a passport and has had one for a long time.

What does that have to do with the price of beans in China!? Everyone knows Cruz is a US citizen. The issue is that he was born in Canada and is therefore not eligible to be President. The US Constitution holds the Presidency requirement to a higher level than ordinary citizenship.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 5:

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
