Donald Trumps effort to reset his campaign following defeat in Wisconsin showed no signs of paying off this weekend, as a series of technical failures by his campaign set his hopes back even further.
From Thursday to Saturday, Trump suffered setbacks in Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, South Carolina and Indiana that raise new doubts about his campaigns preparedness for the long slog of delegate hunting as the GOP race approaches a possible contested convention. He lost the battle on two fronts. Cruz picked up 28 pledged delegates in Colorado. In the other states, rival campaigns were able to place dozens of their own loyalists in delegate spots pledged to Trump on the first ballot. This will matter if Trump fails to win a majority of delegates on the first ballot in Cleveland, as his delegates defect once party rules allow them to choose the candidate they want to nominate.

Yes, that's what I was thinking too. But we had Trump supporters cheering on a Katich/GOPe loyalist delegate getting on to the Convention Rules Committee.
Don't worry- it is a constant.
He also won the Rubio delegates that became available when Rubio dropped out.

Rubio hasn’t dropped out; he just suspended his campaign, so his delegates are still bound to him (as bargaining chips). He’s looking for a job.
I think I've got the Republican Party's drift now.
Every four years, we get told to hold our nose, and vote for the Republican nominee. This year, the party hacks told us they weren't going to hold their noses for no conservative taxpeasants.
No, their little drunken orgy in Washington is much too important to allow it to be jeopardized by the likes of Trump...
#NeverCruz. If Levin can do it against Trump, I can do it against Lyin’ Cruz.
Rafael said I was too stupid to vote anyway. That's his words, that Trump supporters didn't know the issues.
So, since I'm not enlightened enough to vote for someone with marital issues, who's ineligible to seek the POTUS and has sided with Soros-funded thugs over the rule of law, I'm going to take my ball and stay home.
I’d vote for Cruz, if he was Trumps VP that is. Other than Trump as president the GOP has lost my vote. As you said flame away.
“What is really needed are the Trump supporters to come out and insult all the Cruz supporters.”\
OK.
Cruz supporters can’t help it that their boy has turned out to be split-tongue serpent, but they support him anyway.
So what happens to all the people who voted for Trump who see their votes ignored? They stay home. And there will be no 12th hour reconciliation that the Cuban Fatso may be counting on. Cruz is going to help the GOP destroy itself.
Destruction of that nest of vipers known as the GOP-e is not necessarily a bad thing, but Cruz knows he can’t beat Trump fairly and—as we have been lectured repeatedly by Cruz simpletons, Trump can’t beat Clinton—if Fatso manages to steals the nomination by cozening delegates, Hitlery is elected and we all lose.
That’s putting it so simply that even a Cruz supporter can understand it: Trump is cheated. Cruz loses. The GOP dies, the country is lost. We won’t survive that *****.
Would you vote for Trump? Just asking.
The Republicans could have had the general election in the bag a month or two ago if the party hacks would have held their noses and gone with Trump, like they ask us to do every four years.
Instead, the party hacks are fighting one of their OWN candidates - harder than they ever fought 0bama.
The Republicans are Uniparty - the same party as the Democrats.
If Trump gets a majority on the rules committee, he could literally declare that no one under his amount of state wins is eligible to be nominated.

If the rules cmte. makes changes to the temporary rules that were put in place for 2012, the changes are subject to approval by all convention delegates.
Not presuming to horn in on o.p. n-q-c's original intent, however, it is actually Mister trump that I'm worried about, "crazy"wise.
.
Cruz hasn’t done a good job at the voter game. He’s going to be mathematically eliminated in a couple of weeks. Take off the virtual glasses and look at your guy.
There is no way for Cruz to get the 1237 needed to win on the first ballot. If it goes to subsequent ballots, the GOPe won’t let Cruz win. He and his supporters are deluding themselves with the notion that he will be the R nominee.
And yet you would vote for Trump, who has bragged about having many adulterous affairs with married women????
There you gonads.
While I do not doubt the veracity of that statement, if I had a dollar for every time a Trump supporter has asserted that Cruz is owned by/complicit with/diabolically in cahoots with the GOPee, just on this website, I could afford a couple of remodeling projects I'd like to do.
#8 Funny!
And yet, the cheater, liar, and blackmailer
known as Goldman Soros Cruz cannot win, but
enjoys his sex with rats and Willard, as the
spoilers they are.
The zots are only temporary suspensions, but if ted somehow manages to steal the Trump nomination against the American voters, I’m sure #neverCruz people here will get the zot during the general elections.
